You cannot make it.

Officers delayed entering because they did not believe it was still an "active shooter" situation, he said.

But pupils inside made multiple calls begging for police to come.

Mr McCraw confirmed there had been a 40-minute gap from the police unit's arrival at Robb Elementary School to the moment they decided to storm the classroom where the gunman had barricaded himself.

The senior officer on the scene decided to wait until the school janitor arrived with the keys because they thought that either "no kids were at risk" by then, or "no-one was living anymore".

These morally corrupt cunt cops only harass and murder the harmless in many cases, but the moment they are faced with life and death situation to earn their inflated salaries and pensions, they just hide away and make excuses afterwards why they did not rush into the building to save lives by confronting the shooter. What assholes.

The problem you got is the US Constitution. It isn't easy to have gun control to the point where a citizen is restricted from getting or attaining a gun.

Such a thing requires a nationwide referendum or plebiscite and there has to be a majority of two thirds of all states that approve any Constitutional Ammendment. It's designed to be deliberately difficult so that it isn't easy to water down US Bill of Rights Freedoms, such as free speech, free movemnet and freedom of association etc etc.

So there lies the quagmnire.

The other obstacle is the gun lobby.

So what can be done. Well they can make it harder to get a gun. Put in a few more obstacles without messing with the constitution without a mandate to do so. Things like restricting felons from getting guns. Toughening acquisition, and gun storage laws. Make it mandatory that gun owners must sit courses, be vetted and get a Federally Issued licence. That might be togh as well, so it may need to be a license issued at the State level. Have police visits and inspections. Things like that.

This isn't an easy nut to crack for America. The Constitution was written centuries ago, and it was designed to be for the people and protect their freedoms and rights.

If they had a referendum, the likelihood that Americans will vote to remove the right to bear arms is zero. It just won't happen.

You can't simplify it by saying the USG can't do anything. The simpole truth is, unless you have a dictator (JUNTA) installed who will do what he wants and completely disregard the constitution, you simply just can't bring about gun control without falling foul of the US Constition and Bill of Rights. The Federal Courts will only be able to apply the US Constition as it is written so it won't even get through the Judicial Process, even if the judges wanted to they simply will not be able to.

So why is it so. Well the US has had a nasty civil war in the past. This is a relic of the Civil War afterall. Americans just won't let go of their guns.

America is a very funny place and in many respects it's just fantastic.

The thinking is very different not just in guns. It's said that any country that attemps to invade them, America will be able to defend itself just from it's own citizenry alone, and various militias and National Guards.

The US Military is designed to be a force of conquest globally. The National Guards are to defend America, right down to the average joe citizen who may be packing military grade guns at home.

Everything is very high quality too, with the way everything is manufactured.

When you get out of the cities, you start to see what America is really all about. You see the Americans have a big car fetish as well. we are talking about massive US Made Chev, Hemmy, LS1 to LS2 blocks all of which are v8 or v12. I'm talking about eye candy stuff like Hummers, Jeeps, F150, Ram TRX, Silverados, Broncos, Mustangs, Corvettes

Cars you can go to war with. Bullet proof and built to last your entire lifetime.

Everywhere else, and all you get is shit - including all the fancy stuff like Mercedes, Audi, Range Rovers, BMW etc. Fancy yes, but after about 10 years, things start to go eerily wrong costing a mssive fortune.

Americans will still have their Rams, and Silverados in 50 years time. So are they better than the Euro trash. You better believe they are better. It's heaven here.

I need to get one. :?

Point is, it's very difficult also for the USG to tax fuel - hence fuel prices in America are the lowest in the world. The minute any USG tries it, it would be taken by Americans as an attack on their ability to fund their pickup fetishes. The rednecks, truckies will block major highways into Washington DC. To Americans, things like Silverados, F150s, Rams etc are US icons never to be messed with. Similar to guns.

And I got to say I can hardly blame them in this instance. Their cars are amazing. I mean their trucks and muscle cars are amazing. This is what motoring is all about in my opinion.

Not some junk Hyundia or Toyota 1.5l

With regard to US Police. Well you need to ask which Department to be specific, there are over 100 US police agencies all over America. All with varying levels of training and all with their own specific jurisdiction, whether Federal, State, or County. Everything from the FBI, to US Marshalls, to Pensylvania State Police.

All of them professional and doing a good job. But it's a very difficult job to do in America.

Even what they call a "routine traffic stop" isn't so routine if you compare it to being pulled over by police in Australia.

You can see from the start, US Cops nearly always show signs of their edginess. Edginess about what you may ask? Well probably because they know they are playing Russian Roulette. To start with, they stay in their cars for what seems like an eternity as you look at them through your rear vision mirror getting nervous and edgy yourself. Probably doing number plate searches and checking to see if there are warrants for the registered owner or whether the vehicle is stolen or what not. But they are also sussing you out. Then, one gets out rather carefully and walks up to you. The partner is behind ready to act. They don't know if you are carrying a piece or know who they have pulled over. There is organised crime in America and Gangs fighting their own gang wars or turf wars.

Takes a couple of minutes before they start letting their guards down.

What do you do? You keep your hands up high on the steering wheel where they can see them. Don't go into glove box to get licenses or rego papers or act eradically is my suggestion. You only do stuff when they tell you. If they ask for your license, then give it to them. I can see how people get shot, believe me.

A lot of police officers in America are killed and injured in the line of duty. I'm talking hundreds of them. That's the reality.

Other than that, cops on the beat are easy to approach and talk to. And they are helpful and respectful.

Big Country, big crime, big everything in America. Nothing half baked here.

You just have to love America.

There had already been 232 mass shootings this year in the United States, according to the Gun Violence Archive. Mass shootings by Month:
Jan 34
Feb 26
Mar 42
Apr 57
May 61
Jun

Fuck that makes it on average 2 a day.

And in the meantime Texas Givernor has relaxed the gun control laws.

In 2021, almost 700 such incidents occurred, a jump from the 611 in 2020 and 417 in 2019.
Before that, incidents had not topped 400 annually since the Gun Violence Archive started tracking in 2014.
