you can't be more compassionate than that.

People like free stuff... Who knew eh...?

That does nothing to explain why they 'like' 'free stuff' so much more than when the Tories came to power in 2010. That is nearing a 3000% increase in less than 10 years if my quick head maths is roughly right.

Why don't you try giving out free stuff...?

Start on day #1 with say 10 packs of free stuff... See if as word gets around you'll need more or less free stuff to give away on day #2...

My guess is that by day #3,650 you'll be struggling to keep up with demand for the free stuff and would have to have got others to help provide it.

And you might even notice that some of those people queuing up for your free stuff aren't the needy that you originally intended the free stuff to help...

I understand plenty thanks!

The government (any government) is incredibly inefficient at spending our money and likes to spunk it away on vanity projects and good causes which few of the public support.

Tax less and that money can be better spent by those that earn it in the first place.

Of course you and Bore-Dough wouldn't understand that as you believe in big government running (or should I say ruining!) everything...

...and of course you in turn believe that the government can simply crank up the tax rate and the money will keep rolling in...

Increase the tax rate to 100% and you still get nothing...

The government is inefficient and spunks money away. The over 50k earners would not spunk this money away ? On 'economically productive' things like buying cocaine to snort ? Just nonsense. Your limits to creative thought are bound by your insistence in believing in a binary polarised universe when the reality that all these things are to degrees is staring you in the face.

For the record in 1979 my father on the top tier of his income with NI included was paying 98 pence in every pound in tax. He did not 'fuck off' somewhere else because the country had democratically elected a government that imposed such taxes. How can you talk about being a 'proud' nation and 'believer in democracy' and then say you can not tax the rich because they will just fuck off if you try. You should be outraged by such actions of individuals when faced with a democratically imposed tax increase they simply leave the UK entirely. You are not outraged by them though are you ? You want to be them and that is the politics of envy and greed in my book.

WTF! He paid 98% in tax and kept working.

Was he stupid or something?

He paid 98 pence in the pound on his TOP TIER of earnings. In order to reach that top tier he passed through all the previous tiers from zero through to the top tier. If he stopped working then he would not have earned anything. Are you stupid or something ?

The top rate of income tax under Labour in the mid-Seventies was 83pc (or as much as 98pc on certain categories of “unearned income”)

See that is the problem with all you Socialists!

You have policies that DO NOT WORK. You have policies that KILL THE ECONOMY!

No way I would get out of bed and pay 98%. I mean how insane. You hear these Socialists talk about 70% tax brackets for the wealthy, but I don't think I would go for it if I was wealthy.

If the company tax rate is reduced from 30% to 26% and then down to 22%, I might get out of bed for that and the wealthy get out of bed they create work and jobs.

You socialists just want to make everyone poor and your wealth redistribution only hurts the hard working. The rich end of town (top 2%) which just pull up stumps and leave.

Do you understand tiers ? He kept working vs not working because he liked the 100,000s of pounds of post tax income he earned before reaching the top tier.

Patriots who do not like the democratically elected government tax policy who then fuck off as a result are not really patriots or democrats are they ? Are you a patriot Paphitis ? Are you a democrat ?

Yeh I understand tiers and I also understand when it isn't worth getting out of bed!

I mean seriously, who the hell in their right mind is gonna get out of bed just to give the Government 98% of their money. Rather die in a ditch to be honest!

There is nothing patriotic about paying more tax than you need to - that is just stupidity...

I presume you are such a patriot you make a voluntary donation over and above what the government asks for every month...?
