You also apparently do not rate Vint Cerf - who invented the internet or Sir Tim Berners Lee who invented the web. That is what makes you look like a narcissistic dick head to me ;)

That's right!

What took you so long?

Vint Cert doesn't want you to think outside the box.

LOL

Until 20 minutes ago you did not even know who Vint Cerf was lol. You know NOTHING about the man, his view or anything else about him. I on the other hand have met him personally by dint of the fact that we were both speakers at the same conference in Washington DC

What a plonker lol

I didn't and I still wish I hadn't.

I have nothing to learn from him when it comes to my data or security.

I wouldn't laugh if I were you because that geezer doesn't want you to secure your data.

He didn't create the internet so you can secure your data. he created it for the US Military and US State Spy agencies so they can track every man, woman and child on the planet. That is a fact.

And the internet has achieved its intended purpose for all of us who are on the grid. But now it is open to other State Actors as well.

You are one very gullible imbecile.

And you are plain ignorant on this subject. The following is almost certainly beyond your ability to understand but for those less limited than yourself in this regard who may be interested

The design brief that Vint Cerf and BoB Kanh were working to was to design a network that could withstand a nuclear strike, that did not have centralised points of weakness and that could automatically route around damage in the network core.

In order to do that they created the first network protocol ever that placed the control functions of the network, the setting up of circuits and sessions between one node on the network and another, above the physical network layer and moved it from the 'centre' of the network to the end nodes themselves.

Every network protocol before that, from POTs (plain old telephony networks) through to digital packet based one, like say ATM based networks or anything else, had the control function centralised and embedded in to the the physical network layer to varying degrees. If the objective is to have government control and ability to track and monitor usage over the network then the LAST thing you would do is abstract out the control functions of setting up session between nodes on the network, remove it from the physical network layer and place it in the individual nodes themselves instead of placing that function centrally.

Cerf and Kanh have a lot to answer for in my life, as of course does Diageo.

...what are you guys on about; sorry i have no idea.

China in a lot of trouble?

...what with the leaked spy documents indicating a million people have been victims of a genocide, the battle for Hong Kong, trade relations as they are, and the American Fleet sailing by their shores, yesterday was not a pleasant day for their Leadership.

...frankly, i am surprised that i have not read one comment from Erdogan, given who are being ''cleansed''.

...and i am surprised that genocide, despite everything else China there is to talk about, is not news.

And yet you’d have no trouble finding forums where people regularly, indignantly rant about some Trump Tweet.

A cghinese spy just defected and has asked Australia for asylum.

he has revealed a lot, including:

China successfully infiltrated Australian Parliament with one of their agents managing to be elected as a Liberal MP.

In addition, they are accused of assassinating another Chinese MP candidate who was found dead in their Sydney apartment.

It seems that China;s entire espionage ring in Australia has been breached.

This is extremely bad for Chgina and a major set back. Australia will eventually grant the Chinese Spy asylum but his life is most certainly under extreme risk.

The best thing they have done is reveal his identity so if WANG does disappear or is killed, there will be a lot of outrage so China has to proceed with caution.

You don't need any leaked documents to know about the Genocide in China.

I am talking about the spy defection in Australia and the uncovering of all of China's activities here. They infiltrated parliament by having an agent elected as an MP. Plus all the political donations which have now been banned.

I can't believe you have not heard about this.

...indeed, Canada is also going through the same kind of investigations, Chinese spying exposed. But has to tread far more carefully, having two Canadian political prisoners in their jail.

that's quite appalling. I hope Canada doesn't buckle under the black mail.

It has been revealed that China has assassinated an Australian Politician - a Chinese MP candidate for a Federal Seat was found dead in his apartment mysteriously and the Chinese defector said that it was a Chinese State sanctioned assassination.

With the Chinese Genocide of Turkic Populations in the interior, Hong Kong and Taiwan, China is starting to show its true self...

These are very concerning developments.

The UK should not have transferred sovereignty over Hong Kong to China.
