In the USA, people in politics and judiciary keep their titles even after they are no longer in office. It is how they are addressed. Sign of respect really, therefore, Biden is addressed as the Vice President and Trump will be addressed as the President long after his ass is kicked out of the White House, and even in death.

He doesn’t cheat on tax. He does what business people do. It’s called tax minimisation.

His businesses pay millions in tax when they show a profit after depreciation. The only way to avoid paying tax is to not show a profit but show a financial loss. People don’t understand this. All they hear is such and such a Director who owns this mega business paid no tax and get enraged. The difference is they just didn’t pay personal income tax. The businesses they own however did at the marginal company tax rate which is less than income tax. And there is your reason why Directors don’t pay themselves or only pay themselves minimum wage to utilise tax free thresholds. It isn’t rocket science.

As for his personal tax returns, he doesn’t need to pay anything unless he distributed an income to himself. Directors, often do not distribute an income, but get a company credit card. Has to pay fringe benefits tax on it and that’s it.

As a director, you don’t necessarily pay yourself a salary. I haven’t paid myself in years because it’s too tax expensive. But I do distribute money to my wife, unless she is working, and as much as I can to my kids to utilise tax free thresholds. What I am doing is tax minimisation. It’s legal. I wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t. This compared to what Biden Family did in Afghanistan which is probably illegal and definitely immoral.

Plenty of loopholes in business. All of them perfectly legal.

Now you are being very silly. The USA is nothing like Chy-na or Russia or Turkey. It’s a free country. Every business expense is tax deductible in business. Even computers, laptops, IT and stationary.

The biggest gimme in business is depreciation.

But, when you don’t show a profit, that’s bad. It usually means you have not made a profit and what’s worse than that is you may have an actual financial loss. The bigger the loss, the worse it is. You can understand that surely.

As soon as you show a profit, you pay $30 per $100 in tax. I think it’s $22 per $100 in the US. Can’t escape it. But profits are good. Companies want profits.

What you can do is put family on the books and pay them to reduce the profit. So you are just taking away from the company profits to pay family members. Advantage is, company pays less tax by showing a lower profit, but the money is just transferred from the profits to a spouse for instance even if she stays home raising children and does nothing.

So the company profit might not be the actual profit if you get my drift. It could be legally under reported by simply doing the money shuffle. so to speak. And it’s legal. It isn’t tax evasion.

This tax thing is the second time the Democrats bought this up. This despite the tax laws being their policy and laws introduced ages ago probably even under Obama.

Trump isn’t allowed to have a financial interest in his past businesses. He can legally sell the business or transfer ownership to children like Ivanka.

He isn’t allowed to be a director or get a salary from the businesses.

So, for at least 4 years, maybe more, it’s the business and/or Ivanka plus associates who pay the tax, not Trump.

Trump is obligated to pay Income tax from the income or salary he has as POTUS. About $550 K per annum. If they are saying he is paying hardly no tax it’s because Trump has sacrificed or donated his salary back to US treasury,

Trump essentially is self funded. Not living or taking from the public treasury. Probably the only POTUS to have done that.

He would have a reasonably flush bank account. He lives from that I would say. If Ivanka transfers funds from the Business to his account now he is POTUS, it’s probably a conflict of interest and possibly illegal too.

When they say Trump is worth 3 billion, it’s probably Ivanka that is worth 3 billion.
