Well it started!

Facebook has flicked the switch and all news sites are unavailable in Australia.

So now we can’t get any Australian or I ternate all news from any facebook sites.

Let’s say for instance I wanted to go to the Cyprus Mail, Politis or even BBC or ABC Facebook sites to read some news. The pages are blocked for all Aistralian accounts.

So my guess Google and Twitter will do the same.

This is because Australia has inteoduced laws that any news outlet that publishes Australian content must pay Australia royalties or fees or a tax. I dunno. They got to pay something according to Australian law.

It’s actually quite serene seeing all the lefty news outlets shit down. 8)

I mean geez! Pootin eat your heart out!

Oh I see! Google caved in!

Facebook didn’t!

But they could lose many subscribers from Australia so we will see how that pans out.

All the big tech companies are being targeted. Twitter as well although they have been a little quiet.

Google was by far the loudest. They were at one point threatening Australia with total removal of all Google Services.

But it was a funny thing. Today, I tried to go to Adelaide Now, and there was nothing. I went to the ABC and again nothing. Went to the Australian, and nothing.

Damn Zucjerberg.

Looks like a major win for Murdoch here. So he can find his FOX News and remove Biden in 2024 for Tucker Carlson.

Well it looks like the gee laws have worked well in that Google is now signing deals with Australian media outlets worth many tens of millions in order to be able to publish their content.

But backfired with regard to Facebook which has barred all Australian accounts from news and media outlets. Australians are unable to look at the CNN page fir instance or any other page it like.

Sounds like FB kicked Australia in the balls by refusing to be dictated how they run their business and the Aussies buckled after FB blocked many services needed by Australia. Now Aussies are at the FB’s mercy to cut a deal on FB’s terms. No doubt Google may demand the same terms also as FB’s.
