1974

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

As a Cypriot it is easy for me to say this. There is no definitive moment i think, where one can point and say, it started here; just a burning desire from "those" unwilling to look into the hatred that they breed being "one" themselves.

1974 is a case in point where Turkey for Cypriots could have been a Hero much to International esteem, but like the "Greeks" those in '63 they show us the same motives, a "Turkishness" that excludes "others".

...Cyprus free of "this" as i said before gives hope to all Turks not "Turkish", Turkey today divided as it is.

By not looking at detail of the time you are actually missing the whole picture. Especially as the narative to this day is that 1963 was TCs rebelling and blocking the Government from functioning and had to be put down. If this is not explained to the GCs they wil lnever accept power sharing.

In effect you are blocking the agreement.

The question really is do you care wjther the country unites or not. If you don't than it goes on till UN decided enough is enough or there is no TCs left in Cyprus and of course our DT and a few other fascist friends here will be most pleased.

Take your pick.

...so in your world there are no Cypriots. You choose to be "Turkish" because you are Turkish, (and you label Greeks as "Greeks" by the same reasoning).

You are mistaken because beside "Greeks" and "Turks" there are Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots who are Cypriot. This is as true today as it was in '63 or '74.

...ask yourself, who died, murdered or made to disappear? For the most part it was not "Turks", or "Greeks".

Tell me which bit of what I said gave you the impression you had? I am not sure where it comes from? I really do not care one bit about Turks or Greeks as you call them

...leaving out the History of the Cypriots in this "whole picture", focusing on those who choose to see themselves as "Greeks" and "Turks", will not provide closure either.

'The Pain Will Never Go Away': Searching for the Disappeared People of Cyprus
https://news.vice.com/article/the-pain- ... -of-cyprus

...Kyriakos Constanti Hadjisoteri, was a Cypriot, not a "Greek". He stayed like many others (who stayed and disappeared as well) in the village believing in the Universal Principals on which a country like Cyprus, or Turkey, for that matter, is based upon and dedicated to defend. Men like him are my heroes, like those before him in '63, called "Turks", they were robbed of their identity, and their lives.

...just another story to ignore, if you believe that the Problem is a matter that does not involve "Cypriots" because they do not (and did not) exist.

Are you saying it is NATO which leaves this island divided and illegally occupied?

I did not say any such thing. I simply asked if you have seen the above report.

did you hear this statement Bordo,

What do you think, Is he right.?

“They are Greeks, they are Christians. We are a different race. We speak Turkish, our religion is Islam, our motherland is Turkey,’’ Tatar said, referring to Greek Cypriot population
