An Egyptian student who lives with a rare genetic disorder which cannot be treated in his home country says he now has “hope for the future” after the Home Office reversed its decision to deport him.

Youssef Mikhaiel, 28, who lives in Glasgow, was due to be deported in June, but the removal was postponed after a ruling at the court of session in Edinburgh. He has now been granted to leave to remain until April 2026 with officials saying they would exercise discretion due to his “exceptional circumstances”.

My Swine friends here will have a field day. They accepted all the lies about Brexit and taking control of borders after Brexshit and here we are nearly 4 years later and we had over 700,000 migrants net come in legally mostly outside of the EU and this year we are going to exceed even that figure. Mushrooms are not happy. And they are adamant their supporters want the small boats stopped which are under 40,000 a year. It's ok. There there, matron will come a long and rub it better.
