You’re (deliberately) missing the essential element unique to this matter. What happened in places like Rotherham, Rochdale and Telford was bad enough (over 1000 cases are under review) but when some of these kids brought their experiences to the attention of the Police/Social Services they were dismissed and hushed up. That, because of ingrained Woke fears that revelations re the ethnicity of the perpetrators would attract accusations of racism and damage “social cohesion”. The worst example I’ve read about is of a 12 year old girl’s complaints being dismissed on the basis that “she was a prostitute”. IMHO, and that of a great many others, those responsible for making such judgements should be serving sentences.

Iron Dome is Israeli. Designed, developed and produced by Rafael. It’s been around for 14 years and was built to counter the sort of short range rockets Iran’s mates in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza have been throwing at them for a couple of decades. At which it’s been very effective. It wasn’t initially envisioned to be used as an anti-ballistic missile system. Although it seems they’ve been more effective than anticipated in that role.

No ship’s unsinkable (ask Captain Smith) but if a carrier strike force should get involved, attacking it successfully isn’t as easy as you seem to think. It would in any case just be one element involved in the campaign.

Struggling budget chain Poundland has been sold for £1 and now faces a shake-up which could see up to 100 stores close, the BBC understands.

Its owner Polish firm Pepco confirmed it had sold the brand for a "nominal" sum to US investment firm Gordon Brothers.

Poundland has 825 UK stores and around 16,000 staff and was struggling to compete with other discount stores, with sales down this January and February.
