Great, a NATO member Turkey shares the same views as the Taliban.

If that is the case, Taliban will roll out the Red Carpet for Turkey any day now. :D

You must realise that if America did not actually train and arm Taliban they would not have defeated the Afghan Government backed by Russia. They started supplying them with shoulder held ground to air missiles against the planes and helicotpers. That was what defeated the Russians not the prowess of Taliban as per say.

That is all true Lordo, but that was 1000 years ago (slight exaggeration) and since then, the Taliban has received enough help from others to make sure America left Afghanistan after 20 years with loss of thousands of American lives and Billions of $$$$$$s. Why wouldn’t the same happen against Turkey, especially when Turkey has very little experience moving great number of forces and equipment, even more especially to a landlocked country across few other countries borders and airspace’s? There are many countries who would love to see Turkey get a bloody nose in the hands of the Taliban, the same countries who would no doubt lend a covert support to the Taliban to do just that.

Thousands?

America lost 2355 soldiers in Afghanistan. I make that 0.223 people per day. As to billions of $$$$$, well The Americans love that sort of thing, it means the war industry is selling a lot od arms, as well as getting free advertising for their weapons' capabilities. This was a win win for them.

Trump lost over 600,000 people in the USA but had no worries about that. Sure there was down side to the war in Afghanistan and they relaised they could not win it from the air and were unwilling to win it any which way as there was nothing there for the oil industry. Now if there were oil wells or gold fields or diamonds there it would have been a different story.

..."no one is talking peace."

With Turkey involved, (China, Iran and Pakistan), we will see how Afghanistan will be divided.

Sooner or later Afghanistan will split into at least 3 parts if not 4. What is worse is the aspect that the Pashdun like the Kurds will want to carve out a piece of Pakistan and a piece of Afghanistan and form their own state. Pakistan is making the same mistake Americans did when they supported Taliban against Russia. At some point or other they will also turn on Pakistan too.

The Taliban are closing in on Kabul on all sides.

All US diplomats are in pack up mode and are being evacuated.

Erdogan shares the same views as the Taliban and will secure Kabul airport while simultaneously telling them not to occupy their country.

The guy also thinks Muslims built a mosque on the moon.
