Zelensky’s Russian casualty figures…

The West often likes to quote Zelensky’s Russian casualty figures which he obviously manufactures out of his back side!

Here’s the logic why Zelensky is utterly clueless as to the number of Russian casualties or even his own; which he barely ever mentions as if they don’t exist!

As we know there are two opposing sides in this war… the pattern of which has long been established from the onset:

The Russians are advancing while the Ukrainians are retreating… all of which is happening at varying degrees of speed thanks to the West delaying the inevitable and to weather conditions; winter months slow down military activity considerably.

Stats kept by the US admin claim that the Russians are gaining around 500 square miles on average per month. They also have a table available with the total size of the areas lost by the Ukraine per month which range from around 300 to 750 square miles for those interested… a table that I have observed.

And here’s where the logic with respect to casualty figures comes in:

When the Ukrainians retreat they do so usually in haste obviously because their defenses have been broken so they naturally run to save their lives and retreat to the next line of defense (predominantly trenches) that other Ukrainians have already built further west.

In doing so, they usually leave behind anything from small arms, ammunition and often vehicles but more relevant to the issue at hand… they leave behind dead bodies and sometimes badly injured comrades.

This is where the Russians come in and overtake a territory and aside from setting up new defenses they must also collect all the bodies because nobody wants to die from disease as a result of rotting corpses.

So the Russians already know how many casualties they had at their former positions and are now also able to count and collect the dead of their enemy!

The Ukrainians on the other hand, rarely if ever collect bodies and this enables the Ukrainian government to just add more and more of their soldiers to the MIA list!

So not only is the Zelenski regime clueless about Russian losses but it can also forever claim that their dead are not actually dead but MIAs… which is much more palatable for the Ukrainian public!

Common sense dictates that only the Russians are in the know when it comes to casualty figures.

You were discussing the problem of obtaining trustworthy estimates of war casualties. Just trying to help clarify the position. Fog of war and all that.

I take it you obtained your earlier figure from a reliable, to you that would be Russian, source? In which case, it perhaps gives an idea of the impact the conflict is having on their side.

We now have a fairly accurate list of the unprecedented level of military hardware support provided by the West to the Ukraine.

The stats below have been cross-referenced between two reliable Telegram sources… the "Oryx portal"; which keeps track of confirmed deliveries, and data acquired from “Z parabellum MD”:

• 831 tanks (M1, Abrams, German Leopard 2 and British Challenger 2, T-72, PT-91)
• 1378 infantry fighting vehicles (IFV) (American Bradley and German Marder)
• 195 engineering vehicles (various types)
• 9732 armored personnel carriers (APC) (HMMWV, MaxxPro)
• 159 radar stations (RLS)
• 74 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) (Patriot, NASAMS, and SAMP/T)
• 127 self-propelled anti-aircraft guns (ZSU)
• 60 aircraft (MiG-29s, Su-25s, F-16)
• 90 helicopters (predominantly Mi-17)
• 479 howitzers (M777, CAESAR, PzH 2000)
• 636 self-propelled artillery units (SAU)
• 144 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) (HIMARS)

All the above were supplied after the Russian invasion commenced and during the next three years of war, and does not include the existing military hardware that the Ukrainian forces possessed.
