That's a novel idea but you're gonna have to convince criminal bloodthirsty nations like the US, UK, France and Israel to embrace that.

Good luck. :)

Btw, there are lots of videos about nuclear war but I don’t necessarily agree with what they’re saying. Not even MAD is correct.

Getting everything wrong is something that 90% of the world’s population is incredibly good at!

Just as… even the so-called “experts” of the West got everything wrong about Russia, and I was the only one who laid it out for you all here in great detail about how Russia could never be defeated by the West.

"criminal bloodthirsty nations"

You've got me there.

There's me thinking it was Russia that invaded Ukraine. Well, along previously with Georgia. Chechen (twice) Afghanistan, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Finland, Azerbaijan, Poland, Mongolia. Moldova, Belarus, Estonia, Romania, Ethiopia, Kazhakstan, Latvia. Apologies for those I have missed.

Since 2022 though which - depends on where you get the figures of course - something like a million have been killed or seriously wounded in Ukraine. Whilst 7 million of the population have fled the country. That, whilst the "criminal bloodthirsty nations like the US, UK France and Israel ( :? )" haven't actually lost anybody. Apart of course from the odd idiot who thinks getting involved in a war - any war - is life fulfilling. A bit like the Chinese twats that have been doing the confessional video rounds recently.

I'm not sure what they "got wrong" and sincerely believe that nobody had or in fact has any interest at all in "defeating" Russia. It's a concoction. A fantasy. Much like the "secret bio warfare facilities" supposedly uncovered earlier in Ukraine or the Nazi Ukrainians.

There is though an ingrained - from much bitter past experience - dislike of dictatorial, expansionist regimes. History tending to repeat itself.

Since you’re a Brit, here’s a small dose of British bloodthirsty acts you’re obviously clueless about…

* British air strikes in Yemen
https://www.france24.com/en/middle-east ... ross-yemen

* British air strikes in Syria
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/h ... 16326.html

* British air strikes on Gaza
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/h ... 51734.html

* British involvement in Ukraine
https://theconversation.com/british-tro ... ays-224896

There are more British bloodthirsty acts in African nations but I can't be bothered to give you links.

Anyway, I won’t be responding any further to this matter because we need to get back to the Ukraine war as per the thread’s title.

I'm sure there are. However, there can't surely be any which show a positive outcome - for anybody? What level do you consider "Destruction" in MAD to be?

There are about 50 Trident subs on patrol as we "speak". Each carrying 16 missiles with 40 MIRV warheads. Not forgetting the land based nuclear missiles and bombers.

The idea of Dmitry Medvedev glibly ordering the launch of nuclear missiles at western targets - to "teach 'em a lesson" - faced with that reality is beyond parody. Lunacy. It's all BS rhetoric designed to frighten the horses (aka the likes of Biden and Scholtz, etc)

Agreed. Although it seems to me it was your good self that disappeared in the direction of Yemen/Syria/Gaza - have I missed any? :? As an aside - you mention British "crimes" in Syria :? . The recently scuttled away, tail between legs, Mr Assad was responsible for the death of something like half a million of his own countrymen. Not an insignificant number in a country of about 60 million. Ably assisted by the - also (mostly) recently departed - Russian forces. It's noteworthy that this isn't considered "genocide", unlike Gaza.

Also, and this goes back a few days. I can understand your getting upset if somebody hasn't read a post you've taken the trouble to respond to but not really if they have but you don't agree with their contra response. That - as they say - is life. I'm assuming your not like our resident wrist-slashing blogger in that respect. You seem to be interested in interaction - which of course is the life blood of any forum.

Anyway - nighty night for now and a very happy Labour Day to you.

Oh I don’t know Londoner… it’s just that (unlike Russia) the West has never been very convincing to me when it comes to serious rocketry.

Yes, but perhaps one of the other of the UK's 58 missiles will manage to get through. Enough to take out Moscow, St Petersburgh and Novosibirsk, changing life beyond recognition in Russia. Do we really think that Dmitry's likely to go for it? You know - because he's angry and wants to teach them a lesson?

We're ignoring all the other nuclear players here of course. Ultimately though it's a zero sum game, the outcome of which wouldn't be at all as simplistic or gratuitously satisfying to Medvedev as you seem to think.
