Killings of thousands and destroyed country wouldn’t have started if Zelensky after delay of 8 years ratified the Minsk agreement Ukraine signed in 2014.

He was obviously promised a lot to refuse by the west, so he gambled and Putin called his bluff, so now he is concerned about the killings? Talk about the most treasonous act he could have done to his people and country by gambling their lives and country.

But all is not lost for him. He does get to be compared to Churchill. :roll:

Agree with you 100%. Irony of all this is of course even Churchill does not deserve to be called Churchill. well at least not for the reason people worship him for anyway In the Dardanelles he slaughtered thousands of his own and Australian soldiers, in 1940 he landed 300,000 troops and was forced to retreat and lost 220,000 British soldiers and if the yanks did not join him to fight 40 or so German divisions in the west and Stalin did not fight the 150 divisions in the east we would all be speaking German today.

Zelensky on the other hand is doing exactly what Churchill did and with the same results. Unfortunately for him the western soldiers will not be risked in the war and hence he is well and truly fucked.

Unfortunately, he has backed the wrong horse as far as homeland is concerned and once the Russians find out he has been fighting them he will not be allowed back.

Gengiz Han fighting principals was you have to join the power that is around you if you want to stay home and survive. And if the other side win it back you have to join them too. Boths must accept that this is necessary for self survival. Gengiz Han understood this and allowed his man to return to the fold once the enemy was defeated. But I suspect some now are not as civilised as Gengiz was over a thousand years ago.

There is no reason for Zalensky to negotiate for anything less now as he is literally winning the war.

The Russians are unable to maintain the current tempo definitely till the end of 2022. Some say, they can't keep going for another 3 months and their losses are overwhelming now.

So Zalensky doesn't need to negotiate for anything less than a complete Russian withdrawal. If the Russians refuse, they will be forced to withdraw sooner or later.

Ukraine is not on the back-foot anymore.

Russia didn't care when they invaded so now it's an irrelevance. :wink:

The Ukraine Military and the world are Ukrain'e's chief negotiators now and the negotiation will take place through force of arms till Russia gives up.

Ball is in Russia's court actually. It will either be over with the easy way (Russia withdrawal now) or the hard way, which is Russia's withdrawal down the track after they lose thousands more of their weak undisciplined soldiers which are already chasing their tales and are a complete embarrassment to Russia and a revelation to the west and NATO.
