Unlike Syria, Cyprus isn’t part of Israel’s expansionist schemes so I don’t have to choose between the two.

As for Syria the “Turkish protectorate” sounds like they’ve got *some* chance of the Syrians one day getting their land back, but I can’t say the same if it falls under a “Greater Israel”!

What land are you referring to? The Golan heights that Israel occupies or the land that Turkey has occupied since the civil war broke out?

Turkey occupies more Syrian land than Israel does and the point here is that Turkey will take more, in the form of military bases.
