The best climate in the world.
The summer is very hot but dry and enjoyable. And we also have winters, although milder than those in continental Europe.
I don't understand how some people like the climate of places like Thailand, Sri Lanka, or the Pacific Islands of Oceania. With monsoons and rain, and also a horrendous 90% humidity every day of the year, even when it's not raining.
Yes, Cyprus has the ideal climate and is the perfect country.

Nah... the Cyprus summer is horrible. The best climate I ever experienced was in Western Australia.

You get 5 stinking hot days and then a heavy rainfall... a pattern that repeats itself throughout the summer giving you constant relief, unlike Cyprus which is relentless.

Technically only a scorpion, gecko or adder should appreciate the relentless Cyprus heat with no rain, and I trust you’re human… right? :)

It's not like it doesn't rain in Cyprus in the summer...
Anyway, while many hot days are unbearable, I prefer dry heat to humid heat. I enjoy sunny days 90% of the year. Rain should only be occasional, one or two days, then sunshine.

What dry heat? What’s wrong with you man? Are you sure you’re in Cyprus?

Scroll down this table... do you see all those 100% humidity levels at midday?

You like that? :)

GR you live in Nicosia, where it is a hot as hell. Humidity is very high there. Out in the countryside in the villages, sit under a shade and it ain't so bad. By a pool even better.

Get a place out in the villages. You will feel different.

I used to work in the school holidays through July and August out in the sun. There was no too hot to work rule. But people understood the environment they worked in. We started a work day at 4 am. By 10 am we would all sit under the shade. By 2 oclock it was back to work with plenty of cool water, till 5 o'clock.

Those were the days.

I’ll tell you where I’d like to be between the 1st of June and the 1st of October... a nice small chalet up in the mountains of Switzerland or Austria!

I’d then return to Cyprus once the horrible summer is over, all nice and ready for the mild Cypriot winter!

Now you’re talking.

Granted, we do not get temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius too often, but, I prefer less heat to more.

Here is a place you might enjoy to have lunch or stay overnight in the Swiss Alps.

Berggasthaus Aescher – Hike to famous cliff restaurant. It is only a 20 minutes hike from the cable car station on top, or 3-4 hours hike from the base! We did the cable car thing last Sunday for lunch.
