Where is the next property hot spot in Cyprus?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

I am getting bad vibes about buying in Cyprus. Prices in England has stabilised over last twelve months. They havent gone down just stayed the same.

I have seen property in Polis also, any ideas?

As for golf, I have heard from the Mukhtari of Asomatos that Mr Lanitis is going to chop down the Fassouri citrus groves west of Limassol to make way for a full-size golf course and a 'luxury' villa/apartment complex in 2007.

Are you serious? Those groves have been there for at least 40 years...

Simon,

You are asking these silly questions all over the board – Polis, Protaras, property boom, re-sale, off-plan????

Why don’t you sit down and have a think about what your needs are and what you are really looking for – perhaps then those of us that spent our time here and have bothered to write you useful replies will be able to seriously help you.

Question 1. Is it a holiday home, are you retiring or will you be working here? That answers loads of your questions, if you are going to be working then Polis is an unlikely base – it’s too far from anywhere.

Question 2. Think about flights. If you will be commuting to the UK on a regular basis (or collecting friends and relatives) you don’t want to be a two hour drive from the airport you will be using.

Question 3. What sort of lifestyle do you like? Are you beach people, etc.

Think about it logically, then tie down some likely spots and for goodness sake spends some time here looking around and getting a feel for where you will be comfortable.

Actually, Mrs. CyprusGrump is in the UK for five weeks – I’m coping on my own and the sock draw (not to mention the cooker, microwave and oven) are probably not up to her normal very high standards! :(
