Actually I’ve cooked some amazing meals for myself since she’s been away…

its just controlling those bubbling pots and the clearing up afterwards that I find completely beyond my comprehension…

Oh, and ironing. :(

Theresa
you have made a very good point about borrowing the earth from our children
and what sort of earth do we leave for our grandchildren to inherit
i was sort of thinking about the biggest global problem faced today is probably global warming,
this being the case and one big contributer to global warming being power generation

why dont the authorities make sure that any future villa house ect has part of its building permission subject to the dwelling having a self supportiing system of soloar electric generation built in, its clean healty and envoiranmentaly friendly
the manufacture and installation would create heaps of new jobs and bost the economy, each villa would then when not occupied contribute the the electrical grid system and actualy reducing power station polution
any comments ?

IMO, there should be more protected parks and buildings in Cyprus. Worse is the way a criminally hideous factory or tall building be built in a low rise area while some exceptional period buildings are knocked down. The old Blue Lantern Hotel in Larnaca on the promenade was for me the highlight of the waterfront. But, of course, it was knocked down a few months ago, to be replaced by another faceless concrete block!

Actually, compared with say, Spain, I think Cyprus is pretty good with building regulations; the general rule is that no apartment block (out of town) can be higher than two storeys and three (I think) in town. Contrast that with the high rise blcoks on the Spanish coast.

Wow! 51 posts on your first day on the Forum, is this a bid to take over :-)

Where is Tuberider when I need him/her? (They were assuring me the Cyprus property market was dead). I have just sold my house which I moved in to 27 months ago for 120% more than I paid for it :-)
