Who can give me the Cypriot word for tinned meat?

I expect that it is used by all of our ethnicities!

You can add the bits that determine what kind of meat it is.

We used to call 'Corned Beef' = 'boli bif' (bully Beef) or Kurupetos might say PoliBeef.

..and if it was chicken or pork?

Thats a nice one. I had one for my own use made of Aluminium.

Maşrabba İn Turkish. Derived from the Arabic root for to drink = Sharaba, from which the word for wine is derived from in T.

Ofcourse the word Mashrabba is the vessel you drink from.

Also from the same root is ÇORBA, which should be Shorba = soup.

Ofcourse they. We too had some but my grandmother would not let me use them as they were chipped. She reckoned one would get poisoned from them. We called them Çinko masharabba. That is, made from Zinc which is deemed harmful. We also had the Chinko plates too. Got one here in the UK.(Chinko = Zink). Possibly Greek.
