Tsillargas is Greek, not Turkish; maybe Cypriot.

I dont know where it comes from I dont thik its greek my grandmother usedthese words a lot ! She had many ornithes (Chiken in her garden and one male chicken called Kokoras ) One day she struggled to kill the male Chicken to make chicken soup afkolemoni but the chicken was so strong and resisted it was a very bad shocking moment for her ( with all the blood around) she never try to kill again.

Dont tell Kurupettos that. He will love you forever.

We call the male chick a 'Horoz'. It seems it may be derived from Kokoras (or vice versa). I must check it out.
