...my question is, How does this have anything to do with the war in Iran?

If you were to follow any thread - from page 1 to page 50 - on any particular subject - you could probably well ask the same question.

It’s one of the most endearing aspects of this forum to me. How I miss Lordo. :( :D

Seriously though, one could equally well ask how theories about what happened on 9/11 have any relevance to “ The Impending war against Iran” I suppose. :?

What with the Iraqis represented by Russia, the United States in a time of withdrawal, it seems natural for China to move into this sphere of influence.

...intentions count.

This thread was started 8 years ago. Define “impending”.

Not forgetting all the other “impending war against” threads of course.

...poetry, History with style; what else can it be, as life goes on. Doesn't it?

...indeed, what seems years, to wiser older men seems like seconds; was it Moses that lived over 400 years?

...indeed, when these 'wars' are over, it will be like long ago even if it were yesterday; few want this fighting forever.

...i write to inform. In any case from a Cypriot point of view, these are our neighbours too. Cypriots cannot ignore their own relations with China, nor can they forget in terms of war what "impending" means.

Cheers.

No, no. :D

8 years ago Yialousa exercised his expertise in hyperbole and posted what was actually - forgive the Anglo-Saxon - total bollocks about an imminent US attack and war on Iran. Much like his old weekly - total bollocks - inside story stuff about some Russian military jobsworth warning of a US false flag chemical weapons retaliation in Syria. I actually enjoyed and miss those. :(

8 Years later - actually - there's been no war, or for what it's worth, attack. Thus proving my theory that it was all a load of total bollocks.

I highlight the fact that the word "imminent" was - forgive the Anglo-Saxon again - total bollocks.

Notwithstanding - a nice post on your part. Albeit a load of ........................................

Your view of WAR is very narrow! Sanctions are just as effective a weapon of war as bombs and sending in ground/air forces. Have a look at events in Iran, Syria, Libya, Venezuela etc. and of course in Cuba. Every year for the last 20 years the UNGA has voted to remove sanctions on Cuba! Every year the US, supported by Israel, Veto's the resolution. Millions have died, mostly civilians, women and children in dozens of countries including Iran due solely to US unilaterally imposed sanctions.

Are you going to sway THAT is not an act of war? :?

So Yialousa was right and only your limited perception of WAR makes you smugly right.

Now the US uses the threat of sanctions against its allies as well if they consider not complying with US directives ..... as we have just seen happen in the UK with Huawei. The US has imposed more sanctions on more companies (Countries?) dealing with the NordStream 2 and Turkish pipelines. The US is in a commercial war of some sort with just about every nation on the planet ..... except Israel and all the recent 'accidents' in Iran at their military and nuclear facilities, appear to look suspiciously like Israeli attacks or at least Israeli backed terrorism/sabotage!
