Anyone stupid enough to charge up on someone holding an AR-15 should be shot, it’s called the law and natural selection. The history of America has evolved it to these realities. Having an AR15 is culturally acceptable. Imagine living on the prairie in Nebraska 175 years ago, no other human around you for 50 miles, having a gun protects you from Indians, Robbers, rapist, killers and wild Mexicans. This is the core of Americans.. Rittenhouse was justified.

I fully agree that the gun proliferation in America actually does act as a deterrent to crime.

What we don't know is by how much.

What itcan't deter is the mentally il, who would do a mass shooting or serial killers for example.

But it would deter the average punk.

Plus, the Government is always on its toes.

The NRA arguments are actually quite valid. And they are good at pushing their agenda too.

At the end of the day, America won't have gun control like we see it in other countries. The best we can expect is tighter licensing and stopping convicted felons from possessing guns, especially those convicetd of violent crimes. Other than that, America has the love for the gun as their God given right to bear arms.

Any Government who tries to change it, is dust.

It’s actually quite lawful to use a gun to defend your property in America. Provided certain caveats are met such not using excessive force etc etc.

You do not know how much crime these guns prevent.

I gave away my Smith & Wesson .357 on my last visit to the States two months ago. I no longer have any need for it since I live in a civilized country of Switzerland.

USA has a violent society rooted going back to the old West, therefore firearms is part of their DNA, which will continue Americans being armed to the teeth, hence the continuation of America remaining to be a violent society.

It is said that, God made Man and Samuel Colt (Colt 45) made them equal!

America having so many guns does not mean violence is only direct results from guns, but most of the crimes in the US are indirect results of owning a gun. Almost a catalyst to violence which makes the above quote ring true perhaps.

...indeed, countries run in fear, which are they; think about it.

And it is this very fear which threatens the notion of Freedom, and Liberty, in America divided as it is today.

Most of the gun violence in America stems from black on black shootings.. it’s rare in a country of 360 million, that a killing from guns happen and a black person is not involved.. white on white shootings is probably on a 2x per capita when compared to Cyprus..

When John Howard embarked on major gun control in the 90s, organised and violent crimes in Australia increased.

Who knows how many people died as a result.

You can still get a firearm in Australia. Even a banned or military style weapon.

The bikies and various crime syndicates here in Australia have arsenals that could equip the military of a small country.

And these syndicates are not your average 7/11 armed hit and run punks neither. The are more like the types in the Movie “The Irishman”

All you do with gun control is take away the guns from normal law abiding citizens. The syndicates won’t hand in their guns and that makes everyone more vulnerable.

It’s very easy to get an illegal gun in Australia. All you need is to know someone who knows someone or be tech savvy and buy off the web - dark web.

So in my opinion, gun control is a waste of time.

All America needs to do is make licensing and the ability to acquire firearms a little more difficult and more regulated. Not infringe on its citizenry the right to have guns.

And guns mean so much to Americans. Firstly, they consider it a right. It’s a constitutional right. If you change that then what other rights will be changed? It’s a slippery slope. And you do understand that to change the Constitution, you need a referendum? And it has to pass in 38 States.

Much better to just put in pms e tougher and more restrictive licensing, vetting or criminal checks, and pass laws on storage and carriage in a public place.

Pfizer just announced that they will be able to make another vaccine for Omicron.

The current vaccine just didn’t work, and neither will this one.

I should have bought shares in Pfizer 6 months ago. Still, I don’t think it’s too late to jump on the gravy train.

Time to exploit stupid which is in extreme abundance everywhere.

Stupid is unstoppable!
