Brexit is about wrestling control back from the EU. This is what it has been all about since day one. The Brits do not want to outsource their power and control over their country to the EU.

But, in order to win the referendum, a campaign had to be waged similar to the scare hysteria being waged right now.

In that campaign there were many things discussed like the NHS, immigration, different legislation, funding and propping up of other countries like Cyprus (which any tax payer is going to hate) in order to attract the votes.

This is just all common sense.

But the ultimate objective was just to always get out of the EU. It had probably nothing to do with Cyprus or Poland or the NHS.

And the question still remains: AT WHAT COST?

You tell me!

The remoaners seem to think the sky will fall in and Britain will sink in the abyss. All part of project fear.

The truth is, probably very little will change as Britain will be allowed to trade with the EU as if it were part of the common market for 2 years until a FTD can be agreed to. This is under Article 24 of the WTO - which is what the USA and Australia are trading under at present. I don't see the USA or Australia suffering so why would the UK?

The only thing guaranteed is that Britain will save 10 Billion per year.

But what is priceless is that they have total and complete control of their country and the EU will not be able to implement laws that bind Britain. That is very valuable.

Things have never looked more up for Britain since BOJO has taken over. You can smell the fear from the EU right now. Britain has nothing to lose. It's actually Germany that will sink into the abyss and Italy as well. Merkel even admitted that BREXIT just got real and Germany is at very high risk of a recession because of it!

Despite all the trash talk, Britain is actually the strongest economy in the EU.

The EU made their bed! :D

The question you need to ask, is what is the cost to the EU.

Can BREXIT push Italy over the edge because it it does push Italy and Germany over the edge, the EU goes back to the Stone Age whilst Britain will still trade with its American, Australian and Canadian partners.

I don't want to see anyone go under but the EU needs to be very careful about its rhetoric. It has more to worry about than the UK does.

Which is why it is ridiculous to me that all of a sudden the trading rules will change overnight. The practicalities of the matter is that NOTHING changes. The EU won't want anything to change.

Germany is the worlds 3rd largest exporter after China and maybe just maybe the USA.
So you think Germany will " sink" if and when the UK leaves the EU. You have an amazingly distorted view of world affairs .
There will be one loser and that is the UK.
The fucking Cĺown will go down in history not only the worst UK PM but also perhaps the last UK PM.I suggest you stop making stupid comments commensurate of your Syrian comments.
Are you sure you fly aircraft ??

That means Nothing when you are going into a recession. The Germans are on the brink. Britain is growing.

And a trade war with Britain is going to take them over the edge whilst Britain has plenty of fat to chew as its growing at nearly 2%. WHY? Because Britain is Germany's most biggest and lucrative market. So the Brits got merkel cornered.

Britain is the 4th largest economy and its growing.

It also means NOTHING if Italy has a meltdown.

So don't get all high and mighty here mate. Britain is on a winner here and you know it!

EU is running scared because when the Brits make a success out of this, EU is done and dusted. It becomes a horrible chapter in history. :D

The UK is actually the 3rd biggest trading partner of Germany, the first being the USA followed by France.

it's not project fear it's well estimated facts from Government economists.
If you consider the -6% growth for 15 years compared with the +2% growth it has now as nothing, then so be it.
Article 24 of the WTO is what gave the UK the 2 year grace period to get out. Time is up.
After 31 Oct. it will have to trade on WTO terms from day 1.

I'm watching Parliament live. Kipper Johnson has just lost his majority, Conservative MP Philip Lee has crossed the floor and joined the Liberal Democrats. KJ is without doubt a convincing and articulate speaker (so was Hitler) but he says the says the wrong things and fails to give straight answers. He keeps on about getting a deal with EU but offers no evidence, only waffle, to support this. The EU said categorically today that the UK is not making progress on a new deal and Johnson has not made any new proposals for discussion.

This Brexit bullshit is all about caving into snotty little shit Jacob Rees-Mogg and his wealthy "Rule Britannia" chums and saving the Conservative Party from oblivion. KJ is an opportunist on an ego trip, he has always wanted to be PM and a few years ago changed his mind from supporting EU membership (note, UK voters are not allowed to change their minds) to pursuing Brexit because he saw it as the best way of becoming Prime Minister.
