Oh the interesting diversion when you are squirming in desperation.

I'll give you a clue. How many cases per million does the US have compared to all those countries I mentioned?

They are only behind in time. The video is not about graphing over a time axis. That is the POINT. That is WHY it shows what is most important whilst filtering out that which is not and that you now try and misuse to construct an entirely fictional case that US is doing better than others. You have understood nothing from it at all.

not only are they behind the time, but those countries I mention are still getting more cases each day per capita, so they should have less cases per million on an ongoing basis.

Plus, they will likely be the first country to have a vaccine.

is that all you got to the point I made on cases per million?

That wouldn't be because you have nowhere to go?

Why do you resort to these kinds of sweeping statements saying I have no clue when it is YOU that mentioned the data in the first place and ignored the population based cases per million dataset which is critical because it allows us to compares countries with different populations?

Dumb bastard!

No it is because talking to you is literally like talking to a brick wall.

The whole point that the video that RW posted makes is that it is exactly looking at the data in the way you do here that are so meaningless and why they are meaningless if what you want to understand who is and who is not getting on top of this thing. That is the entire point of the video made by intelligent people without agenda and politics and they do an excellent job. You just fail to understand anything in that video and then start quoting stats that CAN NOT TELL YOU if a country is doing well or badly vs others as the VIDEO EXPLAINS.

Any countries cases per head of population was different yesterday than it is today and will be even more different tomorrow. That is what exponential MEANS. The spread did not start in all countries all at the same time. This is all explained in the video.

That is why I say you have no clue. Not because I have no argument to make. It is because you CAN NOT UNDERSTAND the argument ALREADY MADE in the video by people far more intelligent than you or me.

I don't have a problem with the video RW posted.

I have an issue with your cheeky comment about my "alternative" news sources, some of which were talking about exponential growth way before that video came out. No matter what content they come up with, they are deemed by you ideologues as "not intelligent"because only YOU have a mortgage on intelligence but not others who do not subscribe to your ideology.

I generally have an open mind to all sources, and even consult the Guardian for comic relief. I even posted many BBC links here, but that wouldn't be a source I would look at for a resemblance of balance with regards to issues like BREXIT. They were a good laugh though, especially when BORIS won. I like my pluralism and freedom of expression, and then I make my mind up.

You are making sweeping statements which are untrue and downright stupid.

This stuff is actually really important. The video is really important. That is why I am making this effort, even with a hopeless case like your Paphitis. Here is a transcript of the opening part of the video because you either have not watched it in your arrogance and hubris or if you have you have totally failed to grasp what the video explains so clearly.

When I see daily news reports on COVID-19 its really difficult for me to build up a coherent picture of whats actually going on, because the numbers are changing so quickly (which is exactly what you would expect with exponential growth) that they are almost immediately out of date.

Just start with that. Try and get your head around what is being said. Doing so might then start to show you why your whataboutism of cases per heads of population shows one thing and one thing alone. That you did not understand a single thing in that video.

Once again, I have no issue at all with the video. i even watched it and thought it was accurate.

but it isn't anything I didn't know before thanks to my alternative sources.

I had an issue with your stupid post which explicitly mentioned my good name and my alternative sources.

Go here

https://aatishb.com/covidtrends/

on the right deselect all countries, then select just Singapore and South Korea. Then play the chart over time. What is shows you that you still have not understood is that Singapore is NOT comparable to South Korea in terms of getting on top of this thing. What it shows is an initial 'getting of top it' that it then lost and is now back on the exponential again. That you think 'you knew all this' just shows your complete arrogance along with your ignorance. Now who does that remind me off ?
