They *ARE* dropping like flies... +2,292 deaths worldwide today!

Just because victims are spread all over the planet doesn’t mean that they’re not dropping like flies from this virus.

That’s a hell of a lot of dead every 24 hours!

Actually, as of recent times, 5,000 are dropping dead a day world wide. I expect those figures to rise by 50%-100% in the next 2-4 weeks.

Errr, no....

You are claiming that we will be dropping like flies in 2-3 weeks because of lack of social distancing... :?

But we've already run that experiment after the George Floyd protests in London (BLM) where thousands gathered and shouted after his death on May 25th and yet we haven't seen an upsurge in deaths.

As I said, I'll give you another chance and compare notes in two weeks...

See also: Sweden.

Oh man, you are all over the place. :D

No, people are not going to be dropping like flies in two weeks, but I was answering Paphitis’s comment that positive cases are rising but death rates were dropping, so I said wait 2-4 weeks and let’s see what happens to the death rates as daily positive new cases have doubled in the last week or two.

Few thousand BLM’s demonstrating is a drop in the bucket compared to UK’s 60+ million population. Besides, many demonstrating had some form of masks on despite no social distancing observed most of the time.

Masks are actually quite dangerous because the vast majority of people don't know how to use them correctly.

Such as when they actually ouch the front of the mask to remove it, which is exactly where Chy-na Virus would be if they came across it.

Same with surgical gloves.

We had a large BLM protests in Melbourne as well, because some guy was killed thousands of miles away, and now Melbourne is a Chy-na Virus cluster.

Well that softens the blow then!

Why don’t you and Grumpy go round to Covid-19 funerals and comfort the mourners with your spectacular super-logical theories...

“Keep your shirt on guys... your loved one is a drop in the ocean compared to the 150,000 dead each day from all ailments combined!”

Where’s that insolent Pissouri renegade who thinks losing between 2,000 and 5,000 people per day to this horrible virus, is no big deal! :?

Who doesn’t consider such losses (which only a year ago were completely unheard of) serious enough to raise an eyebrow unless millions are “dropping like flies”!

Who gloats that the world is stupid and overreacting over “nothing” and has probably convinced himself that only he and a select intelligent few are wise enough to see right through this global “conspiracy”!

Anyone who doesn’t know him; or any of the other like-minded idiots gracing this forum, would be forgiven for thinking that they’re juvenile delinquents making such stupid statements but no... I’ll have you know that they are in fact older than me and right in the “high risk” category even!

And what a coincidence that the same gang of buffoons has a very high regard for someone like Trump... the king of buffoons! :?

Here is a statistic for you.

Australia lost 104 people to Chy-na Virus. We lost 3600 people to the common flu.

There seems to be a disjoint in the information we are fed, and people are not taking it seriously anymore.

I’ve been to around 50 funerals since I was a little boy yet not a single one of the deceased had died from the common flu, nor have I ever heard of anyone dying from it.

Do any of you know anyone or ever heard of anyone even, who died from the common flu?

Go on... entertain me!

And btw, since you mention Australia your borders are shutting down again...

It's just as well your govt is taking it more seriously than scores of buffoons out there!

Yes I do know of a case where an older person died from Pneumonia after they caught the common flu. As is the case with Chy-na Virus, the common flu can be very dangerous to old people who have other complications such as Asthma and so on. It knocks off the vulnerable.
