Mr Sriskandarajah added: "The UK could make a real difference by championing debt cancellation at the G20 finance ministers meeting next week to pay for social protection measures such as cash grants to help people survive."

Sky's Africa correspondent, John Sparks, said tens of millions in South Africa had been "pushed to the very edge" by the virus pandemic, with those struggling to feed their family now involved in a "grim battle for survival" amid widespread job losses.

Sparks added: "The pain is felt all over as millions of immigrants from nations like Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi struggle to feed themselves in South Africa and fail to send remittances to their loved ones back home."

The bleak scenario is outlined in its report, The Hunger Virus, and equates to as many as 12,000 people dying per day.

Oxfam says this is more than the peak global coronavirus death rate of 10,000 per day in April.

The 10 hunger hotspots highlighted in the report include Afghanistan, Syria and South Sudan - where the charity says the situation is most severe.

The State of Victoria in Australia is in lock down for 6 weeks.

What was interesting about the State of Victoria.

It has a stupid Democrat Government. It's Premier is at logger heads with out Prime Minister.

Victoria started to have the strictest of measures, even shutting down schools. But they opposed the federal Government in not allowing the Australian Defence Forces assisting with the transportation of isolated individuals to their isolation points. Instead, they hired a private security firm. The spread has been contributed by the fact that some security guards were having sexy time with the isolated in their hotels.

It's the wokest of states. They had a BLM demonstration only 2 weeks ago. Now, they are on an exponential spread rate. Getting 300 cases per day.

So, the entire State of Victoria (capital city Melbourne) is isolated. There is a hard border between them and New South Wales (Sydney) and South Australia (Adelaide). No one is allowed to travel from Victoria to any other Australian State unless they are an essential worker.

Every border crossing is blocked by police check points. Drones with infra red are also been used. There are even calls for the military to get involved with drones, and check points.

Melbourne, has been isolated from the rest of the country. The second largest city and in my opinion Australia's cultural capital is isolated. Our very beautiful Melbourne, is in a lot of trouble.

On the day before lock down. over 35,000 Melbournians fled to Adelaide and tens of thousands more to Sydney. As a result, I predict that in 2 to 3 weeks, Adelaide and Sydney will be in the same boat. They have to isolate for 14 days but I think the horse has bolted.

Just one stupid move by a stupid Government who was being a smart arse by letting BLM demonstrations proceed and employing security firms full of drongos have now placed the entire country of Australia under immense danger.

Thank You Daniel Andrews. Stupid Malakas!

What makes this second wave more interesting is the fact that Malakas Daniel Andrews, was big noting himself trying to pick fights with Scott Morrison our PM.

He started off doing well and then he was doing his Victory Dance, but now he has become Australia's number 1 clown.

If there was an election in Victoria, he would be lucky to get 20%.

Onya Andrews.

A 'Nordic' comparison: Sweden has lower overall mortality than Finland - and Scotland!

Nearly every country has adopted a stricter form of lockdown than Sweden. If Sweden's approach should prove reasonably successful, it would indicate that other governments have made mistakes of historic proportion. Of course, governments will do everything to avoid appearing in error to such a degree, as will those in the media who urged them on.

The recent headlines shown here give a flavour of the hysterical antipathy often expressed towards Sweden. But is the negativity justified? Was the Swedish approach reasonably successful or not?

Oh dear, more bad news for the bedwetters...

Remember the days when guys and gals would carry a condom with them just in case an unexpected but desired boinking took place so that each would have some protection from STD or pregnancy, well now, we all carry a face mask for protection from Covid-19 just in case we ride the bus, the train, fly on a plane or walk into a store. :D

Is there any point carrying condoms any longer when mask be kept on at ALL times?

Well, I suppose doggy style may be the answer, providing a paper bag is placed over her head for extra protection from Covid-19. :D

Oh come on, surely we have all done that once or twice in our lives. :D

Maybe even a double-bagger, just in case one would break!

Carry a mask?

The only time I wore a mask recently was when I cleaned my fireplace with Hydrochloric Acid in order to restore it back to its 1900s former glory.

Other than that, life goes on pretty normal for me.

Never wear one on dead head flights either. these days, you would be lucky to have 30 people on an aircraft.

As for the condoms, I would still do that if I was single too.

Life really hasn't changed for me other than being stood down from work for a month and now only working on about 30% of the hours I would previously do. So get more days off and more reserve days than normal which is ok but isn't ideal for the business i work for. Most of our routes are now subsidized by Government.

The other impact I have is that I slip out of currency on the 17th so can't work after that. Booked in the sim for early August but that's in Melbourne and need to be rescheduled to be done in Sydney. Our company won't have us go to Melbourne for Sim for the next 6 weeks.

So I got 2 and a half weeks of doing stuff all on full pay.
