Print out the form. If you can’t print, fill it in and email it to your phone.

Is it possible that there is a quota the number of people can be issued permit to leave their homes at any given time?

That can be the only reason for doing it surely...?

I dont understand why you have to fill out a form and carry it with you to go out. :?

This is just stupid.

probably one of the stupidest procedures I have ever heard.

So if the police stop you, you should give them this self authorized form as opposed to telling them why you are out and presenting your ID?

Yes, yes and yes.

The idea is to stop people leaving their homes (in Cyprus  ) except in the “exceptional” circumstances on the SMS/form. How they plan to enforce it beats me. However, if you’re out and challenged, don’t have the necessary document/clearance (valid for 3 hours from filled in) then you will supposedly be liable to a €150 fine.

I reckon the idea is to 'normalise' having to ask for permission to go out.

Once everybody gets used to it they can set up other systems to basically control numbers.

The expats seem to be loving it...

Just taken the dog for a walk... Printed out the form, walked the dog, chucked the form in the bin. What a farce...
