Does anyone know - preferably from experience - if you enter a British passport number (or another foreign passport number) as ID number in the SMS requesting permission to go out, is this accepted?

I’m going to have another crack when I take the dogs out later this afternoon. Hopefully with better luck.

Answer: dunno.

However, it does say ID or passport number.

I should think yes. With thousands of non Cypriots on the island its imperative that passports are acceptable, otherwise thousands will be virtually locked in their homes.

Tried texting at 3pm. No response again.

Went out with the form and passport. I’m pencilling in the date as I tend to go out the same time every afternoon.

That was published this morning but - as I said - I didn't get a reply at 3pm today. Still haven't had one actually. :(

I sent a text for permission to pop out and surprise surprise the approval was instant.
It looks as if the "glitch" has been sorted.
