Paphitis, do you know what happened to the pilots you knew who had left their jobs in Australia and went to the USA on the same visa as yours a month or two ahead of your planned departure? Did they return back to Australia in the end since they would have been furloughed almost immediately around this time last year by the American airline companies they were meant to work for?

There’s a good boy... Paphitis! :D

Oh and to answer the question… how come a dog is a member of a forum?

It’s his handler doing the talking on his behalf, dumbo!

The Independent
Former Trump advisor says Texas power outages are consequence of electing Biden

Graeme Massie
Mon, February 22, 2021, 1:14 AM

Donald Trump’s former economic adviser has claimed that the Texas winter storm power outages are “the consequences” of Joe Biden being in the White House.

Millions of residents of the Lone Star state were left without power, heat and water after it was pummeled by the record-breaking freeze.

Mr Kudlow was happy to blame it on Mr Biden, who has been president for one month, but he did not try and explain how the president had caused the unprecedented grid failure.

“I think they’ve moved very rapidly toward the progressive left position on a lot of these issues,” Mr Kudlow said of the Biden administration on Fox News.

“He tried to temper it with talk about unity. There was some talk about moving to the center, that there would be more balance, there wouldn’t be a far-left progressive agenda.

“Unfortunately in the early weeks - what, we’ve got a month here - it has been a left, progressive agenda.

“He’s gone after the energy sector. You saw some of the consequences in Texas. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.”

The danger here is that if the over temp goes for more than 3 seconds you cook the turbine. The engine has to be removed and reconditioned costing a few million. So had to wait for an engineer to come. In the end, another plane was flown from Canberra so that the engineers can do an engine change tomorrow. Spent a couple of hours in the lounge. Pity I couldn’t have any alcohol. :(

If you had one of these point-gap gauges, you could have fixed the problem yourself.

I offered Kikapu. But they told me to go to the lounge.

Something about not being a licensed engineer.

I said if I’m flying this today, the head engineer is coming too as insurance.

Paphitis, did you fry this engine?

No no, it goes way beyond that. You need to understand why the call was even secretly recorded because Lindsey Graham tried the same shit few weeks earlier as Trump and when Graham was confronted' by the media he called the Georgia’s election official a liar, because that’s what cunt politicians do.

It’s quite illegal to secretly record phone conversations without the other person’s knowledge or permission. At least so in Australia, I would therefore presume it’s the same in the US.

Only one person in the conversing group needs to know that the call is being secretly recorded, which then makes it legal in the USA.

The Secretary of Georgia and his lawyer knew that the conversation was being recorded, therefore it meets the legal requirement to secretly record a conversation.

If Trump didn’t know he was being recorded, then that falls under the category of tough shit. :D

And pigs really do fly.

I can’t help it if you don’t believe. But I HAVE been flying fir 28 years now.

And sadly there might be some redundancies handed out next month so the next 4 weeks or so could be my last... :( so might only get between 20 and 30 more flight hours.

I don’t know what to think about that.

I know what happened to the ones I speak to. They have been stood down.

Not just them but thousands of pilots in general have been stood down although they are starting to redeploy them at least part time so they can at least have current crews.

I got a letter from them as well saying that my engagement with them will be postponed so affective lay stood down but have an active employment number.

US Immigration hasn’t cancelled my 3 year BISA which I thought they might do. Still in my passport and still active as far as the US is concerned.

All of us are facing stand downs as of next month, or the sack if you have pissed management off, or redundancies and par outs.
