Civilisation turned on its head. What is civilised called terrorism and that is terrorism called civilisation.

People protesting against the government is called terrorism because couple of members had the audacity to paint a couple of aircraft engine or protesting outside the gates of a factory which makes arms for Israel and people standing outside a hotel housing vulnerable asylum seekers terrifying them is called peaceful protest.

If they wish to protest peacefully surely the best place to do that is to protest outside the office that made the decision to house these people in that hotel. It really is not hard. Give the temporary status and just a couple of months to find a job as well as a place to stay. And if they cannot find a place to stay, ask the public to lend a hand just like they did for the Ukrainians. I mean it is not as if it was not tried before or that it has not worked out in the past.

Finally a store moving in the right direction and ironically it is the store which is the least expensive, needless to say a German company of course.

Aldi is paving the way for other supermarkets as it becomes the first among its rivals to pay assistants at least £13 an hour. Aldi also remains the only supermarket to offer staff paid breaks, which is worth an additional £1,384 annually for the average employee. The new rise in basic pay will take effect on September 1, according to the business.

Earlier this year, Aldi increased its minimum hourly pay to £12.75 nationally and £14.05 for employees in London. The supermarket chain has now said that staff living within the M25 will take home at least £14.33 - a significant increase above the Real Living Wage of £12.60 and National Living Wage of £12.21.
