Mr Zelensky was asked about Bakhmut at the meeting of G7 nations in Hiroshima, where he has joined key negotiations.

"You have to understand there is nothing. They destroyed everything," he said, adding that there are "a lot of dead Russians".

The moment he mentioned the dead Russians, does anybody know what the reaction of the leaders were?
Did they give him a round of applause, I wonder?

For all intents and purposes, Bakhmut had fallen long time ago, but the Russians kept the door open for Ukraine to continue sending their soldiers to be destroyed until the time was right to close the doors at Bakhmut for the Ukrainians so that Russia can start preparing for assault in the western direction after they destroy any so called, “Ukrainian offensive Spring/Summer”. It all seems very calculating by Russia, like a master chess player always thinking several moves ahead.

For most of us, it will be hard to pronounce ARTEMOVSTOK from now on!

Yeah I agree, it's actually Artemovsk, which imo is much better than it's former Arabic-sounding name.

The latest from Artyomovsk...............

Bakhmut Has Fallen - Artyomovsk Has Been Liberated

The so far largest battle of the 21st century ended today.

Bakhmut has fallen. Artyomovsk (the Russian/Soviet name of the city) has been liberated. This was announced today (Yesterday) by the titular leader of the Wagner forces, Yevgeny Prigozhin, in a video posted on Telegram.

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/05/bakhmut-has-fallen-artyomovsk-has-been-liberated-.html

Now also mentioned on most MSM News outlets .......... but the victory by Wagner/Russians is being played down as is another Kyiv/NATO defeat!

Paphitis .......... it took the Kyiv regime over six years to build the unassailable 'Fortress Bakhmut' and its extensive defensive complex, fill it with US/UK/Eu weapons ...... and it took Wagner and the Russians five months to destroy it. And all the time they were building it they used civilians as hostages. Now, those that did get away will have the opportunity to return once the last of the Kyiv forces are mopped up.

BTW: The movement to the flanks by the Kyiv forces also failed! The Russians withdrew (or were chased out  ) the Kyiv forces chased the retreating Russians (who ran for their lives  ) ....... and guess what?

Kyiv’s triumphant military ran straight into the Russian's flanking and rear defense artillery and the Ukes been virtually wiped out along with over 50 armoured vehicles and tanks. The DPR resistance have been doing this to the Kyiv regime since 2015 ...... it’s called Kettling, and still the Ukes fall for it every time!

Kyiv has lost 60,000 of the military in just five months defending Bakhmut. Russian losses, mainly Wagner Group are believed to have lost less than 6000 in the same period.

Don’t you feel rather foolish to have fallen for Zeleskey’s lies and Western propaganda? Do you STILL think Kyiv will win this war? As Putin said ...... “We haven’t even started yet!” :)

An honest assessment on how Bakhmut was taken by the Russians.
