Ukraine and US have said that their Patriots missile system was lightly damaged by Russian Hypersonic missile, probably nothing that a little duct tape couldn’t fix to make it operational again! :wink:

They certainly have at least one thing in common. During WW2 Fascists in both countries collaborated with the Nazis and killed a lot of their own countrymen. Grivas was one of them too.

Of course Sunak is going to increase sanctions to diamonds. Clearly they have learnt nothing about what effect the sanctions have had so far. But at least this will hurt their own friends cause it will push up the price of the diamonds.

The Patriot is useless vs the Kinzhal. They only have two systems in Kiev (cost of each 1 billion!!) one of those fired all it's 32 missiles (cost of each missile, 3 million) and did not hit even one Kinzhal.
Until it revealed it's position and got hit as well. And then it got minor damage??? :wink:

In any case someone in Ukraine is currently selling Patriot parts for collectors.

One of the few prevailing hypotheses in 2022, of what the ultimate goal of the Russians is in Ukraine, was that the goal was to deliver a wreck of Ukraine.
The more I look at the current situation, the more I get convinced this is the case.
