Considering I blocked the SwineCunts, They should be charged double. It seems ignoring them does not seem to get through their thick skull.

Blocking means you can't see a person's posts.

Thick?

And looking at the wider picture - perhaps booking a hotel would be more the case?

No it's not, "Lordo's Blogspot" is exactly right and probably the reason why many don't bother getting involved nowadays.

You are not, and never have been, interested in anybody's opinions about your views. You simply use CF as a personal Blog. Forum's though aren't personal, their about community, whether good, bad or ugly. People communicating and debating (OK rowing :D ) about their views.

Lordo wrote: I do not understand with this obsession with what Lordo does. Lordo is what Lordo does.

You usually post contentiously and provocatively, often clearly with little real understanding of your subject. Regardless, just about everybody ignores them (which of course is what you want). Some don't though. I doubt you've had half a dozen meaningful responses to your last 100 posts. Yeah - a whole 2 months! Not that it bothers you. When you do reply it's often something juvenile. Toilet brushes.

In 9 years, apart from the odd music YouTube (often Turkish), I can't recall you having a single good word to say about anybody/thing. You're without doubt the most morose person I've ever come across on any forum.

Although a TC you've lived in the UK most of your life. Decades (5?) but all you do is slag the place off. The people/history/culture. Exhortations for you to go somewhere you could discover that alien dimension called "happiness" fall on stony ground. You'd much rather stay where you are, with a life of eternal bitching. If somebody like me, living on the island, spent as much time throwing shit at Cyprus and all it's aspects I'd quite quickly - and rightly - be told to sling my hook and find somewhere better. Probably in terms of "fuck off back to your own country".

Lordo wrote: I do not interfere in your posts unless I find them objectionable so why don't those who do not like my posts go fuck yourselves.

You think interaction between people and their views is "interfering" And how could you anyway - you've blocked them. Right?

Get Real! wrote:Ignore this ungrateful bunch Lordo… imagine if you weren’t posting… there’d be cobwebs everywhere from the looks of this eerie place!

His ignoring started a long time ago. And, speaking for myself, I've been very grateful for the laughs Lordo's given me. I confess to being a bit disappointed that he's shown no gratitude for my efforts to help him string together a coherent sentence in English. You must have noticed the improvement? That, after his having spent most of his life in the place.

Basically though, he'd had so much humiliation from people pointing out where he'd got things totally wrong he decided not to bother with them anymore. Easier than thinking and actually having to read your linked articles. Doesn't stop them from bothering with him of course.

Pointless writing this really. Apparently he can't see it.

Back to the Ukraine? Honeymoon must almost be over GR.

Lordo, is a harmless dude who doesn’t come here to attack and/or disrupt others and I respect that. He just does his thing… vents off, I suppose.

Yeah, he can get monotonous but it’s a greater monotony when one visits here daily and posts absolutely nothing!

Consider posting something fellas… things that annoy you about where you’re at… the world scene… a cool car you drove or bought recently, something you fixed around the house, etc.

ie: My wife bought a brand new Hyundai i20 recently.

It sucks (but I don’t tell her that)… under-powered, too many interferences while you’re driving… lots of noises and banners pop up which is distracting and annoying as you drive.

Everything you do is ”wrong” according to this stupid car… for example it suggests you shift into 4th gear when you’re only doing like 40km!

It’s a bit too long for a 5-door hatch… the turning radius sucks due to the long wheelbase for this class.

Uncomfortable tight “sporty” bucket seats suck.

The steering “correction” thing is an absolute nightmare… dangerous too, but I understand I can disable that in the menu somewhere when I find the time to go over the 100 odd options!

The only positive thing is that the national manager is her first cousin so she got like a €2,700 discount for it!

My verdict: Don’t buy it.

Ahh. Memories. I rented a car in the UK last year which had “Lane assist”. In almost 60 years of driving I’ve never come across a device so dangerous. As you will surely know, it has a habit of virtually dragging the steering wheel out of your hands if you try to change lanes  Another ingenious contraption was “automatic headlight mode”. That had the perverse tendency to blind oncoming traffic, when it wasn’t dipping as you drove around dodgy bends on dark country roads.

I missed the simplicity of my first car. The Ford Popular. :D

Doesn’t it piss you off?

You go to all the trouble of having an expensive rooftop PV system fitted, only to have EAC switch it off every other day because they apparently can’t cope with all that “green energy” they’ve been begging you to generate.

Apart from regularly referring to other members as “Swinecunts” “Toilet boy”, etc. Dotted with numerous “Fuck offs”. Even when they sometimes haven’t posted for weeks or seven ant all on the subject. Not forgetting recent talk of punching people in the face …………I suppose you’re right.

Ultimately, we’re all pretty harmless non-entity’s, at the end of the day of course.

AIK has been playing games with the so-called subsidized PV systems from the onset, and the reason I never took up their offer.

But taking advantage of solar energy to power the A/C system in the summer (daylight hours) is something I definitely want to do… but I want to bypass AIK.

Here’s my plan…

Install PVs on our garage’s rooftop… just enough to power the two A/C compressors we have… and I’ll dig a trench to guide the cable all the way to the units and straight into a DC to AC convertor… and this is where the picture gets rather fuzzy for me because I suspect I’ll need some kind of voltage regulation… and I don’t want to use batteries… and then I wonder if it’ll work with my 3-phase units… etc.

Yeah, I’ve got a lot of reading to do if this is gonna work and get all the right bits and pieces.

Asking at shops that sell A/C systems for advice/support proved fruitless because most Cypriots are as daft as donkeys so finding the right tech person to help you do things differently is a nightmare in this country. :(

Have to say, despite the disruptions, it’s nice to get a bill for €50 for a period which last year was €350. :D

Yes, it is rather annoying - it didn't happen last year...

It was inevitable though with the big push for everybody to have PV.

I'm hoping that as the weather warms up and demand for aircon increases it will stop happening... Last bill was still €35 though and 1,800kWh in credit...

If there was any joined-up thinking they'd use the 'excess' electricity to desalinate water which we are desperately short of...
