...in Moscow the bombing was applauded; it is quite natural for the "Russians" to have fortified their capital accordingly.

...others say the intended target was three miles away, but such missiles are this inaccurate.

There are not inaccurate. The missile was intercepted and changed direction. 9 out of 10 times "interceptions" don't hit the missile, but rather explode at such proximity that divert it.

Can somebody explain why it makes sense to sell tanks to Ukraine when a drone costing less that 10% of its value can knock it out. Surely it is a scam right?

What the Ukrainians need militarily are missiles and drones.

But in reality what they really need is a ceasefire so the killing stops.
Why have UN not called for a ceasefire till this point?
What are they waiting for Christmas?

...boots on the ground, in the end, wins the war; airpower works toward this end, air superiority is better. Tanks move troops quickly advancing, one way or the other.

...the ''special operation'' is an invasion; Ukraine defends itself accordingly: they have not called for a cease-fire. If it were a war Russia's civilian population would be witness to such tragedy on their soil; but they are not. The UN, as you say, is a representation of its members; you are in affect asking for Ukraine to be divided like Cyprus, a "Green Line" with the UN's troops to monitor it. Did that work with Israel/Palestine, or in Africa where in a few cases the violence continues unabated?

...in any case the cease fire, at this point will not stop the killing; more will likely die, the front refreshed from the pause.

...what is really necessary is reason: the Problem solved.

A single drone can fire 16 missiles. It would wipe out the tanks in any formation and leave the troops unprotected. The combination of tankd and boots in the ground worked in WW2 where troops protected the tank and the tank protected the troops with the additional protection from the air for both.
We are in a different world now. Drone is the king in war.

A drone can hardly do any damage to a Tank or an armored infantry vehicle. Forget about it. Usual artillery, or tank missiles may cause damage to an enemy tank, or if you are lucky get it's ammunition inside explode by affiliation in which case it's over. To destroy a tank you typically need special type of missile designed to penetrate the armor. And even then it depends on how thick the armor is, the angle of hit, and how strong your penetrating missile is. I've seen a video of a Russian tank hit 7 times by a Javellin and still running.

Such weapons do exist. Warfare is changing.

A man in Syria 2000 years ago designed a track to pull his wagons full of crop to his stores. An Egyptian barber designed a revolving sign using steam power. It took mankind another 1500 years before he designed a steam train and track. I suspect it will not be long before a missile is used that would do the job. The fact that drones can move around undetected is what is important. Until mankind designs a drone detector.
