Hi, Natalie, glad you are sorted out. The £40.00 you have got back is most likely your compensation for being moved! Regards,Dawn

Just come backa after having to stay at the Miramare, did not enjoy it. The Miramare is a nice hotel, but a working hotel not a holiday hotel. While there during the heatwave we had to have our meals outside as there was a conference all and they had the use of the restaurant, meals cold also. The rep could not do a welcome meeting as there was no room, entertainment was rubbish, rep was getting fed up of people complaining, not her fault. No uch for kids to do, worst all-inclusive holiday ever. Complaint form filled in and letter drafted to be sent to First Choice. Went to see Atlantica twice, I honestly can't see it being finished before the end of august.Talked to some of the workers and they said 20 days and laughed.

Sorry you had such a bad time of it Nigel. Good luck with your complaint, I hope you manage to get some money back. Whilst you were at the Atlantica did you notice a pub across the road called the Nags Head? Is it still there? I read somewhere (maybe even on the early pages of this thread) that it had moved.

The Nags Head had closed for refurbishment earlier in the summer. Haven't been down there for a while as we don't live in the tourist area but there is another bar under the same management on the same block called Tease. It also has a swimming pool available free of charge.

Nags Head may be up and running again now though.

The Atlantica have moved their entrance to the hotel from the same street as the Nags Head to the opposite side of the building - possibly in order to keep their guests drinking inside the hotel after those on All Inclusive have to start paying each night.

The Nags Head used to be open until 2am most mornings and had a great karaoke show by Chris King (Elvis impersonator), who has unfortunately for us, moved to Paphos. Most of the patrons in the Nags Head were residents of the Atlantica Hotel/Gardens :-)

hi i returned home from the atlantica appartments and can confirm that the building resembles a building site if they open this time next year they will be doing good. and when it doea open they are closing the appartments down to do them up which belive me does need it
first choice told us a week before we were due to travel about the problems so we had no choice but to go as we had a famiily wedding booked. but they also told us in a phone call that they had contacted there rep in limassol (brenda) and she was supposed to have told them that the work was internal only this is very much untrue. but on speaking to the rep this was another lie as nobody had contacted her and she is the only rep for limassol

Hi
Does anyone know if Happy Jacks is still there? It was by the Nags Head.

I also heard that the Miramare is a lovely hotel - but not a 'holiday' hotel. I got £273 back after we were moved to the Poseidonia, as it turned out to be cheaper at the moment, even though it is a four * and the Atlantica was a 3*+.

My uncle, who lives out there, went to see our new hotel, and said it looked lovely, right on the beach, not stuck in the middle of nowhere. Ideal for families who want a proper beach holiday.

Nobody should still be having problems. If you are it's the hotel's fault as they were (not sure if they still are) releasing bookings back to the tour operators. Keep on at everybody you can and Good luck!

Happy Jacks is still there.

It was only internal renovations being carried out at the Nags Head.

Wish we could say the same for the Atlantica Hotel/Oasis :-(
