It reminded me when I was hitch hiking across the USA from New York to San Francisco via Seattle back in 1981 when a Highway Patrol car pulled up in North Dakota and asked me to sit in the front seat with him and after he did a simple pat down while I was sitting down to make sure I did not have any weapons and once my ID checked out that I wasn’t wanted, we had a nice chat as he could tell I was from the UK from my accent. It was getting late in the day and he said to me, “listen, I am on patrol for another couple of hours on this highway and if you don’t get a ride by then, I can call my wife and invite you to dinner and you can stay over until tomorrow morning and I will bring you back to the highway again to be on your way. Well, soon enough I did get another ride. Not for very long however and ended up spending the night on the side of the highway wrapped myself in a large plastic sheet that I found as I did not have much clothes with me. It was the coldest night of my life as I couldn’t wait for the sun to rise again. :D

Yes, for all the “character building” I now have was mostly built that night. :D

It was much better when I was picked up by a young lady in New Jersey and spend 2 days and nights with her all the way to North Dakota, which is why and how my route changed to San Francisco via Seattle. :D

That was another experience (good) altogether. She left her husband in ND without telling him anything and went to NJ to see her boyfriend, but decided to go back to her husband so I was kept to a secrecy where she picked me up so no one would know where she had been when having lunch with her parents in ND, until I was asked how long it took me to hitch hike from NY to ND, which I said without thinking, “just two days” then the father said, “that is a good time, most probably faster than Greyhound bus”. :D

Oops. Almost busted.

The issue kikapu is that 99% of police are good people, like the chap in the video.

Every day, they do thousands of acts of kindness towards th public, get pet cats down from trees, help the elderly, and respond to crime, traffic accidents, emergencies, domestic violence and so on.

But these thousands, if not millions of great things they do, won't make it on the news. The only things that make it on the news, are all the bad things that happen each and every day. Death, destruction and carnage.

The killing of Floyd was most definitely criminal, by excessive and unwarranted force. No question. The death of Brooks, also quite likely to be an unwarranted death from excessive force over a very minor offence.

But all the nonsense about defunding or abolishing police, is insane.

And still nothing has changed RW.

Republicans to this day remain the authentic liberals, whilst the Democrats still want control and slavery.

I give you an example. How many times have I been called a racist, or fascist? These attacks are designed to marginalize and silence opposing views.

And me a fascist? You got to be kidding me.

I believe most cops join the force to be good cops and do good things, but before too long, they get corrupted within their own departments by following what the veterans do wrong. They forget the oath they have taken to serve and protect and to uphold the constitution. Look how long it took the two rookie cops in the death of Floyd to forget their oath just only after 4 days. The whole police system is corrupted and needs a complete top to bottom flushing. People do not trust the police and the police do not trust the people. Disaster waiting to happen and it does all the time. Only few cops get caught on camera. Majority of bad policing go unreported.

I don't believe the police forces around the world are corrupted. they may be in some countries, but generally speaking in the Western world, they are not bad. But in every pool, there are bound to be a couple of bad eggs everywhere.

The US is just one of those countries which a massive gun problem. Hence, the police there have to be a little stricter and more cautious than in other countries, otherwise, their lives are at risk.

If there were rookie cops there, who have only been in uniform for 4 days, then most certainly other factors were at play in them doing nothing. Such as they probably didn't think Floyd's life was in danger and/or felt intimidated and unable to act.

No one can control what people say. That person could have said it to agitate the protesters or could be a person who actually believes in "white power". They do exist.

We have tiny little Nazi parties in Australia, and yet they are true fascists. Good thing is, they only have a couple of dozen supporters. They are also mocked and not taken seriously by anyone. They most certainly are not part of the mainstream fabric of Australia, such as similar individuals are not part of the American mainstream.

The extremes of both sides of the political spectrum have the potential to be dangerous.

The issue today is that the left has been hijacked by their radical groups and their way of thinking has become the main on that side of the political spectrum. They want to control what others think, read and say.

Where is Biden among all this? He has allowed the democrat party to be dominated by people that should otherwise not be taken seriously. He will be a weak push over president controlled by the radical left. Nothing will be safe; from law and order, to the economy to freedom of speech and property if he wins. The US will become more of an Orwellian state.

What I see is if the US (and western societies in general) dont get a grip on this and reign in the radical left, we are going to reach a tipping point and carnage is going to ensue.

Its fast approaching because the left are showing no signs of moderation and restraint.

The real liberals are on or have moved to the right.

Seattle police have retaken the area formerly called CHOP my BLM and antifa activists.

The crowd dispersed after a swarm of police officer descended on the area calling for them to leave or be arrested.

It took protesters marching to Mayor Durkan's house to make more demands for her to finally wake up and do something about it.

She called the police that she previously wanted to defund.

Oh the irony.

Everything is alright until the mob comes to your doorstep.
