We destroyed the Taliban and still provide Afghanistan with much needed security, aid and assistance in keeping them at bay.

You are confusing the Taliban with the Mujahideen. The West was aiding The Mujahideen against the Russians in the 1980s. The are NOT the same.

And in fact, the Mujahideen fought the Taliban in the Northern parts of Afghanistan,

are you even reading what you are posting. more than 50% of afghanistan is under taliban control. no sooner the american backed government win one area they lose another.

why are we reaching an agreement with taliban if we destroyed them. get back into your cave will you.

Bullshit it is!

They are just in some isolated areas but not in the major towns or cities and they do not play an important role in the day to day running of Afghanistan.

The Americans and the Afghan Security Forces are very much in control for now.

There are also still about 300 Australian Soldiers attached to the Afghan Security Forces. They are providing training and intelligence, and the Afghan Security Forces are being supplied with Australian Made Armoured personnel carriers, and guns with automatic fire control.

It's all bullshit and fake news.

The Coalition has turned the entire country into a fortress and are arming the Afghan Security Forces to the teeth with the best weapons and intelligence money can buy.

Taliban are only in control of 14.5 percent of Afghanistan according to your source and maybe unsuccessfully being operational in about 20% more territory but the Afghan Security Forces are very much in control and the Coalition will not leave until they are certain the Afghan Security Forces remain in control.

hang on a minute you said it was fake news. you think According to a report by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) is dishing out fake news or have you changed your min again. i don't know if you realise that you have a lot of similary to the taliban. they all over the place too

and the afghan government controls 56% which leaves the rest either under taliban or contested which means under nobody's control. they think they have defeated the taliban, they pull away and the taliban are back. so much for the coalition turning afghanisatan into a fortress. you really do post a whole lot of shit you stupid idiot.

Official statistics state that Taliban are only in control of about 14.5% of territory and even that is debatable because as soon as the Afghan Security Forces arrive they go into hiding.

It's not like a few years ago. In those areas, the Government is still funding the Schools and Hospitals which the Taliban are claiming to control and the Taliban is operating these schools and hospitals.

there is much less desire to fight the Government who continue the war, and Coalition Forces still patrol the roads with the Afghan security Forces so everything is dieing down.

There have even been meetings between the Taliban and the Afghan Government.

The Coalition is cementing the Afghan Governments position by strengthening its Security Forces and Police. The intention is not to genocide the Pushtan but actually work with them and slowly introduce them into the Afghan Government for peace and security in that country.

hang on a moment, you are now posting what you claimed to be false news. right?

if you were right than taliban would not be in control of any areas and there would be no dark blue on the map at all.
