" Although growth is projected to be slow, the EU remains the largesteconomy in the world with a GDP per head of €25 000 for its 500 million consumers. The EU is the world's largest trading block. The EU is theworld's largest trader of manufactured goods and services. ... The EU is the most open to developing countries."

US GDP is 62,500 USD per head. That's more than double the GDP per head of the EU.

With a population of 330 million to 550 million in the EU, and about to become 485 million, the US economy alone is larger than the combined EU economy.

So no, the EU is not the centre of the universe. The centre of the universe is actually the Asia Pacific region which has such mega economies such as the USA, China, India, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia, and Canada.

Also, China and USA are about to sign a Free Trade Deal themselves making them virtually a common market of 1.6 billion people between those 2 countries alone.

This is another reason why the UK wants out. The opportunities in the Asia Pacific are far greater than the EU.

This was a Brexit and anti Corbyn election. Replace Boris with a baboon and you still would've won.

Boris Johnson is a ****

That isn't true at all.

What the UK doesn't want to do as a proud a strong country that it is, is to not be held to ransom and bullied.

So yeh, it is true that if the EU continue to behave in much the same manner as they have done so in the last 3.5 years, interfering in British internal politics and disrespecting the British people, then a NO DEAL BREXIT will become inevitable.

It's now time for the EU to get serious and accept they lost now and just move on to a reasonable exchange and negotiations process towards a FTD.

The EU still has an opportunity here to ensure that there is a close cooperation between the EU Common Market and the UK.

You got all this all backwards, Paphitis.

When did the EU tried to prevent Brexit?

Was it not the UK parliament that prevented a no deal Brexit?

C'mon Kikapu, you know very well that the EU were playing games and even Tusk himself gloated along with some UK Parliamentarian troublemakers (traitors) that they will make the situation for the UK so difficult that they would eventually decide to remain.

Well it backfired. The UK isn't a lapdog to Germany. they kicked their arseholes in WW2 for heaven's sake so the Germans beytter not forget that the spoils go to the victor.

The UK is interested in a FTD. Boris has never said at any time that this was not the case. But he will only negotiation for a FTD for so long and on condition the negotiations remain sensible and in good spirits. If the EU continue the same antics, then BORIS is now in a position to leave the EU without a deal.

If the EU are happy with that, then so be it, but the UK is NOT the EU's slave and will no longer be pushed around.

That was specifically aimed for mostly stupid people, such as you !!

I knew that would trigger you, what a plonker!

Seriously tho, your lot have spent the past 3½ years insulting Brexit voters and calling them stupid and look where it got you yesterday. You got your big, fat Remainer arses kicked by the electorate!

Yet, you still haven't learned...

Slow learners they are.

They just got the arseholes handed to them and yet they still persist in calling millions of Torie voters and Brexiteers stupid.

So funny...

And you know why don't you...?

I mean, I hate to say, "I told you so", but I've posted this on this forum numerous times...

No matter how often you deny it, the country voted for Brexit and expect Brexit to be delivered.

Promising to block Brexit like the Lib Dems or having a very fuzzy position on Brexit like Labour just didn't wash with the electorate.
