Either way, I really don't see Erdogan preventing the ascension to NATO of Sweden and Finland.

Jeez! What a total fuck up for the "Master strategist" Putin. :eyecrazy:

If Putin never had intentions of invading Sweden or Finland, then they becoming NATO members should not have any concerns for him as long as they do not place any American nuclear missiles on their territory, but they might have Russians missiles aimed at them from now on al the same. Ukraine is different because Putin wants to shut Ukraine from the Black Sea before they also become NATO member eventually.

See what I mean by "Russian apologist"? No?

A year ago you might have righteously claimed Russia had no intention of invading Ukraine. In fact, the Messiah himself said in February "Russia has no intention of invading Ukraine. It's all western propaganda".Basically, it seems nobody can trust anything the man says. Best to be safe. Ehh?

Russia has had nuclear capable Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad for 4 years. Able to reach most European capitals in a few minutes.

Look at a map. Visualise the Baltic as a NATO lake and the Kola pennisular with Finland and Sweden as members. Look at how Turkey controls access to/from the Black Sea. Look at how NATO controls all aspects of the Med.

Then, look at the (remote as it happens) pretty innocuous implications of Ukraine joining NATO.

Major Putin fuck up. No? Seriously? :?

It is becoming pointless in having any discussion with you on the Ukraine war.

Enjoy talking with yourself!

We can exchange views on the jokes thread instead. That seems to be the appropriate topic for you to engage with others without being offensive!

Clearly a very trustworthy individual.

Ohh! I guessed I asked for that. An open goal.

Check out my saying though "not a man I.............."

I have a very low opinion of him. He's a smooth conman who has made millions for himself and his family out of his career. Unlike, for instance, the much vilified Thatcher,

I disagreed with his Iraq actions. IMHO, not only resulting in the deaths of countless but also fundamentally changing the political setup of the whole ME. Bringing about the butchering ISIS and Assad's murderous reign (supported of course by..............). Not to mention others.

As someone who believes in Brexit I particularly found his regular briefing of the EU against my country treasonous.

In nutshell - a total cunt.

Nevertheless, he knew Putin well politically from the earliest of his days. He's out of power and has no chance of returning. So, I'm inclined to listen to his views on the matter.

Russia did indeed turn to the west. It seems to me though that brought about a fundamental change of view by many Russians. Putin began to find himself under increasing pressure due to unpopularity - not least from the many followers of the like of Navalny. Thus his change of direction, towards the comfort zone of nationalism - highlighted by Blair - which makes sense in perspective.

You shouldn't be so partisan and myopic. Now - there's a waste of server space.

There is and never has been any discussion on this matter. Merely "sides". I do though accept your ceding the argument. As always of course time (on the ground) will tell and events prevail. Although, I have little doubt that if the Russian army were to totally retreat from all Ukrainian territory tomorrow and announce it as "mission accomplished". It would be faithfully reflected by people like yourself.

I think when it comes to being offensive you have led and are being a hypocritical asshole. You've always taken the Russian side on this matter and - in a sort of, pale shadow, minor role - have tended to reflect the great GR's POV. That being, despite 3 months of getting their asses kicked there's never been a day when there hasn't been good news about the achievements of the (invading) Russian army.

Do though feel free to fuck off. Just it seems like the others on here who feel like you.

Why would I listen to a single word he says. No Reason what so ever.

Fact is Ameirca using Britain as a stooge has been trying to get UK to leave the Eu to weaken oit and has been trying to get EU to stop trading with Russia going back way before Putin.

The core of the issue is there. You can follow the current Cyprus problem as it is today to the 1947 Stay Behind groups set up by America to stop the spread of socialism. Not see what is the context and just jumping on the fact that Putin invaded Ukraine shows lack of understanding of politics for the last 70 years.

Nothing about partisan here, just simple facts. cause and effect. Cannot be hidden.

...no progress in this war, the front line unchanged since the beginning.

...a good channel, discussion, maps, daily reports; if you watched GR's stuff, this should also be interesting to you.
