Trump’s enablers are now in a regret mood with buyer’s remorse for backing this cunt for so long with their lame excuses such as, “Oh, fuck me, I didn’t think it would come to this or, Oh, fuck me, I never thought people would take him seriously”. You fucking brain dead morons for enablers, that when the president talks people shouldn’t take him seriously? What the fuck you stupid dickheads. Stop the excuses already.

You all knew who Trump was but said nothing and now want to blame everyone else but Trump and his brain dead enablers. Imagine what this country would have turned to had Trump won second term. Yes I know, all Trumps enablers, the Banana Republican Party and his brain dead supporters would have been very happy watching Trump burn down the constitution and brought back the Confederacy.

Analysis: A GOP reckoning after turning blind eye to Trump

WASHINGTON (AP) — At the heart of the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol was a lie, one that was allowed to fester and flourish by many of the same Republicans now condemning President Donald Trump for whipping his supporters into a frenzy with his false attacks on the integrity of the 2020 election.

The response from some of those GOP officials now? We didn’t think it would come to this.

“People took him literally. I never thought I would see that,” said Mick Mulvaney, Trump’s former chief of staff. Mulvaney resigned his post as special envoy to Northern Ireland last week after the riots.

That argument reveals the extent to which many Republicans have willingly turned a blind eye throughout Trump's presidency to some of the forces coursing through America. Each time Trump promoted a conspiracy theory or openly flirted with extremist groups, Republicans assumed there were still some limits to how far he and his most loyal supporters would go.

Few seemed concerned about the worst-case scenarios, dismissing fears of violence or authoritarianism as liberal fever dreams.

Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey, who backed Trump in the 2020 election but is now calling for him to resign, cast Trump's actions after his loss as a dark shift, despite the fact that the president laid the groundwork for challenging the election before the first votes were cast.

“He descended into a level of madness and engaged in a level of activity that was just absolutely unthinkable," Toomey said on Sunday.

This was happening up and down america on college campuses over the years.

members of the political left would riot before events to make them unsafe and get people cancelled because they dont agree with their views.

At other places, they would attend the lectures conducted by conservative speakers just to disrupt it so no one could hear what they had to say.

Im surprised you are unaware of this.

democracy only exists for the dems when you agree with their views..

Slowly, the left chipped away at any conservative "influencer" with the objective to silence them.

So some campus protested the visit of some prima donna because he promoted discriminating ideas, and you consider this as evidence that Republicans are persecuted! :?

So you are angry that a guy with a "deport fat ones" placard hanging from his neck, was challenged!

Keep sending those Trump donations...

Where did I go wrong Max? :)

I accepted the “evidence” you supplied, and highlighted the character you are complaining about as being persecuted.

Maybe your evidence wasn’t the best… feel free to have another try.

I’m surprised that Trump being a dirty rotten scoundrel akin to Rev. Jim Jones, has yet to issue a statement along the lines of...

“Those treasonous bastards storming the Capitol, tried to overthrow me!”

The GOP and Democrats will work together in the senate to get the 67 votes needed to impeach Trump after he leaves office, that he can never hold an elected office again. GOP will be very grateful to the Democrats for the help to keep Trump in the doghouse from now on without being able to tweet his lies, lies, lies. :D

McConnell Reportedly Pleased about Impeachment, Wants to Purge Trump from GOP

McArdle
Wed, January 13, 2021, 1:02 AM GMT+1

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is reportedly pleased about efforts by Democrats to impeach President Trump a second time, saying he believes the move will make it easier for Republicans to purge Trump from the party.

McConnell has said that he believes Trump committed impeachable offenses and has indicated that he wants to see the specific article of impeachment being put forth by House Democrats, the New York Times reported.

House Democrats filed an article of impeachment against Trump on Monday, charging him with “incitement of insurrection” for his rhetoric before and during the deadly riot at the Capitol last week when Trump supporters broke past security and forced their way into the halls of Congress.

House passes a resolution calling on Pence to immediately invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office

Sonam Sheth,Eliza Relman
Wed, January 13, 2021, 5:28 AM GMT+1

The House of Representatives passed a resolution late Tuesday night demanding Vice President Mike Pence immediately invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Donald Trump from office.

The vice president announced hours before the vote that he won't be doing so because it will set a "terrible precedent" and further "inflame the passions of the moment."

The House will next move to impeach the president for "incitement of insurrection" and is expected to hold a vote on Wednesday.

Pence and Trump spoke by phone Monday evening — their first conversation since the insurrection — and "pledged to continue the work on behalf of the country for the remainder of their term," a senior official told CNN.

Trump is facing a mountain of political and potential legal trouble after he incited a deadly riot at the US Capitol last week that resulted in five deaths.
