I think it’s criminal to place women in combative roles when they could be doing all the admin/clerical work instead, thereby freeing up males for the front lines.

Cypriot males are chauvinists by default, but at the same time we’re protective of women and kids.

If they have been through the same training to join the army, why should women be treated any differently. Equality comes with responsibility. Although I do object to both men and women being forced to join the army never mind fight.

So to answer your question no I do not like seeing anybody get hurt in the front line. Wars are never just, they normally start with injustice by one side or another. If we can get to a just world there will be no need for anybody to fight or get killed.
I did my 4 weeks military service and we were all horrified when the instructor gave us a demonstration where to shoot and where to knife to kill a person. Thankfully we never managed to get beyond the training. As much as I am against war I am prepared to fight to defend my family and village and homeland. That is to defend my homeland not to take over somebody else's homeland.
