Straight out of RT.com. Russian state media. Do you understand what - "State media" means? Clearly not.

Yet, you question everything, like a good GR sycophant, from any western source. For example, pictures of the carnage at the attempted Russian Donbas river crossing are it seems fake. Due to the lack of bodies strewn around.

The westerners should be familiar with such duplicity.

"I have cooled down regarding this question a long time ago after we understood that ... NATO is not prepared to accept Ukraine," Zelensky said in an interview aired Monday night on ABC News.

When did their objectives change and they are being advised to give them the [territories] that they want?

They do need to come to terms with some agreement for a ceasefire.

But ceding territory is not the answer.

It was. The Russian army's early experiences forced the change. Unbelievable blundering.

It's day 93 of what was supposed to be a lighting blitzkrieg. Taking Kiev, removing the government and installing a compliant administration in a matter of days.

Perhaps it would have been more sensible to have started with Donbas etc, consolidated and moved on.

Hubris/arrogance/over confidence?

Despite our 3 month + daily diet of good news about the Russian army - and their finally making ground - this has been a humiliation for Russia and a disaster in terms of losses.

I understand the Ukrainian insistance upon not ceding territory. From out point of view history shows that doing so invariably leads to greater conflict. The mistake is usually in trying to treat a dictatorship rationally.

You talk about western media as if it is honest and independent of the news. It is laughable. The whole lot are under the control of just a few corporations. if it looks like shit and it smells like shit, it fuckin is shit.

These were all assumptions of the West.

Constantly assuming and getting everything wrong seems a recurring theme with the West! :)

It turned out that by surrounding Kiev, Russia kept some 200K of the best Ukrainian forces pinned down in the capital while they operated with less resistance elsewhere.

Oh, come on How does that support you statement:

It doesn't do anything of the kind.

Neither Germany nor France were going to agree to Ukranian membership of NATO. Gas/business interests. It was just a BS Putin fabrication for invasion.

So - what happened to your "I don't support aggressors"? :?

...actually there is a good argument for NATO in what you say about Makarios, Lordo.

Had he chosen to join with them (NATO), and the possibility of nukes placed here, Cyprus would not have been torn in two; the world would have become a different place, i wonder if it would have become a better place.

...this too in the balance must be considered.

I just wish there was a Russian contingent of Ukrainians i could point at, quite unlike the Azov gang (that were) always in the news.

(maybe GR will find us pictures of "Russians" fighting Russians, or the other way around.)

...there are more to Ukrainians (and Russians) than "Ukrainians" and "Russians".
